And then, overnight, the overheated, temperamental screamer-at-the-99% who engaged in nasty fights with fans and regularly made a public fool of himself suddenly morphed into a oh-so thoughtful tweeter of charitable causes, thoughtful scribblings, and Mighty Big Thinks.

0bama was perfect for the purposes of the left.
He’s a dyed in the wool Marxist, dedicated to the cause but not too smart, can read speeches REALLY well, is “cool”, and above all, is dark enough to be identified as “black”.
This last attribute is key - it prevents any examination of his past, his beliefs, or his policies. Any attempt to do so can be headed off with charges of racism.
