Good morning to you, troll. Has the gov’t paid for your birth control yet? Got your monthly supply of food stamps, gov’t assistance? Just keep on taxing the rich so you can all get your gov’t subsidies. Try to get up before noon so you can see your anointed on MSNBC,

It’s a bump, that’s all it is. No need to panic.

I’m not so sure Obama isn’t ahead. It seems impossible to believe but I’m in a conservative state and city and after talking to people at work - bars and people when playing sports I’m seriously worried. People are ignorant and or willfully blind or delusional.

maybe but Id say it’;s more to do with the media and them never telling their viewers what is really happening.

Go-Suharto!

The Argentine Generals made no lasting economic impression on Argentina. They did succeed in keeping the country from becoming a Soviet Satellite. The Falklands Thing ruined their legacy forever. Estupidos.

Pinochet, OTOH, sponsored sweeping economic changes that put Chile in the forefront of the planet's successful economies. Just what he (his people) did for Chilean Social Security alone is enough IMO to get the crusty old patriot canonized. Of course, the Lefties are back, but the Chilean Armed Forces, even though they now have Lefty Officers and female Affirmative Action Ani in the upper ranks, ain't exactly the Cub Scouts.

I think those boyos are quite prepared to make a Lefty Omelet at at any time and at short notice.

At all events, this survey does not bode well for the future of the nation, and makes me immensely grateful that I’m an Oldster with one foot in the grave,.

Wow, although I don't yet have one foot in the grave, I DO have one on a banana peel. I've been feeling the same way these days. So glad I won't have to see what is happening 30 years from now.

I thought we had one or two election cycles before we reached the “point of no return”, but we just might already be there.

The movie "2016" has useful speculations of what a second Obama term may mean: effective disarmament of the United States, the encirclement of Israel by hostile Muslim powers, continued skyrocketing national debt possibly affecting America's credit standing and financial preeminence.

The South American examples are useful to reflect upon. Before the Great Depression, Argentina was one of the most prosperous nations in the world and drew huge numbers of immigrants from Europe, especially Italy. After the rise of Peron in the 1930s, the nation bounced between socialist regimes and authoritarian military juntas. Argentina has been an economic wreck ever since. This could become the case for the United States. Should America become unwilling or incapable of continuing its superpower role, there will be a vacuum. Nature abhors vacuums, and China and maybe a resurgent Russia will fill it.

IMNSVHO, Argentina's problem is a mass psychosis.

I have many contacts there and they seem to equate their country with the US, England, and especially France. The citizens, being Europeans, want a glitzy upper-middle class European lifestyle (see Sloane Square, Seizième Arondissement, Parioli, Riviera) ... and recognized prominence in world affairs ... that the country's infrastructure and economy could have delivered to many quite easily ... apparently just not as fast as everyone wanted it, which resulted in envy-driven class warfare. Peron's economic and social model was Mussolini and the Corporate State ...The Fascist/National Socialist idea of state ownership (or at least partnership in) of all major industrial sectors. Been a disaster. The Argentines are also suffering mightily from illegal immigrants from Bolivia and other Third World South American Countries, who are attracted by truly massive welfare benefits. No such problem in far more prosperously functioning Chile.

The Chileans, in whose country I actually have many relatives (!), seem to me to be just as European, but much more practical and unassuming. Witness for example, your local supermarket. The only Argentine product seems to be wine. The Chileans also sell you wine, PLUS massive amounts of fresh fruits and vegetables and fresh and frozen seafood, all products readily available in Argentina but not exported.

However, there is an equally strong Loony Left in Chile that will always try to screw it up in the most obnoxiously political correct manner possible ... soon. Just as in the US, evidence is powerless against Leftist ideology.

That’s about it alright. I feel as though I have been transported to a parallel universe. I just cannot comprehend how people are taken in by such a scam. The whole Obama administration along with the “news media” reminds me of how my younger brother used to do something right in front of witnesses and then swear that he didn’t do it! He grew out of that before he finished grade school but our government is operating on that level now and getting away with it! The people who support him act as though they cannot see what he just did and pretend that that somehow makes them superior to those of us who did see it.
