Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., suggested that images of the Democratic National Convention booing at the addition of the word God to the party platform could haunt the presidential election in swing states.
I think images are worth a thousand words and I think one of the bad images that they have to overcome is images of everybody booing God, Paul said on CBS today when asked about Obamas apparently-favorable path to reelection. And that didnt look so good, you know, when God was in the platform, out of the platform and then when they were putting God back in the platform they had three votes and there was a lot of booing going on.[SNIP]
When CBSs Norah ODonnell asked if it would decide the election in those swing states, Paul suggested it was possible.
Its just funny, you dont know what people make their decision on, he said, conceding that its not a very substantive issue for this year. Just the images of people really yelling and booing over putting God back in the platform I think its a difficult image for them to overcome.

The Romney campaign criticized it at the outset, but to no effect. Americans at large aren’t like conservatives... they don’t seem to care whether God is mocked, booed or whatever.
I am afraid that is our only choice, between a Mormon and Muslim. I’ll take the Mormon because at least the Mormons aren’t waging war against us.
I really think that Romney loves this country and would not intentionally try to destroy it. Obama hates the US and still wants to fundamentally change it. The problem seems to be that Romney sometimes gets pulled into social justice, like Bush did.
Good points! I agree with you totally. I will get off my faith grandstand. But in voting for Romney I do want Christians to be aware that we might not have fellowship with the White House as we did before.I feel so sad for America. We have come so far down from the era of Eisenhower.
CBS probably wasn’t aware
Interesting how they denounced God three times
Right before the cock crowed...errr.. Clinton spoke.
I said something similar to my wife. Then I realized the ones voting 'aye' wouldn't be the ones booing. So, while they were booing the fact that it was rammed through on an obvious non-2/3 vote, they were booing because their side, the side of not including God in the platform, was the side getting the shaft. So, they were booing the inclusion of God.
CBS was probably booing.
