The excerpt of the article I posted from NBC added more information to the story found in the excerpt from the Los Angeles Times article-the excerpt which I had posted as the basis for this thread.

Was there something in the NBC article which made it sound like they were discussing another story?

I am not sure I understand your question. What part was not clear or which part do you not understand?

I asked a question. Actually, it was a rhetorical question. The question was what do check kiting, meth making and probation have to do with who created the video?

Remember, there was a middle eastern themed movie this guy was involved with but the movie as created appears to have nothing to do with islam.

What has hussein and hillary upset is a YouTube video someone created from that movie in a manner not unlike the countless Hitler parody video's created out of scenes from the movie The Downfall (German Der Untergang).

The subject video that hussein, hillary, the mainstream media, hollywood, the ACLU and the muslim world are upset about was composed by someone who selectively edited and dubbed from the original movie.
