American consulate in Pakistan under siege, one rioter killed

One person was killed and dozens of people were injured when anti-American protesters tried to storm the American Consulate in the southern port city of Karachi and clashed for several hours with the police and paramilitary troops on Sunday evening, rescue workers and police officials said.

I had a buddy who was assigned to the U.S. Consulate in Karachi in the mid-90s. He and a secretary were being driven to work one morning in a van. A Paki pulled up alongside on a motorbike and the guy who was riding on the bike’s rear took out a weapon and sprayed the van with bullets. Both Americans were killed instantly killed. The driver fled, leaving them there bleeding out. He was a USAFSS veteran.

If we had an American president the government would go to court immediately to freeze the assets of these islamic governments to collect for damages done to our people, property and interests worldwide.

But we do not. So we will not.

Since that person loved death more than the consulate workers loved life, the outcome seems like a win-win to me.
