India accused Pakistan of having a link to both attacks which was strongly denied by Islamabad. Although India still supports the death penalty it is rarely carried...

Mike Huckabee is the new establishment favorite GOP presidential contender, and one reason is probably because he'd keep the cheap labor flowing. In fact, he encouraged Mexico to build a consulate in his state with the obvious intent of providing a workforce for Arkansas' low-wage employers. Jerome Corsi asked him to defend his actions: A lingering controversy over the role former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee played in establishing a Mexican consulate office in Little Rock financed by taxpayers and local businesses continues to follow the Republican presidential candidate's campaign, even as he enjoys a surge in polls. Critics in Arkansas...

LITTLE ROCK -- An amended lawsuit against Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee claims he illegally used government funds to crush state computer hard drives and aid the Mexican government to locate a consulate in Arkansas' capital city. The suit against the former governor, refiled Friday in Pulaski County Circuit Court, comes as part of a Freedom of Information Act complaint by Bella Vista resident Jim Parsons stemming from Huckabee's last days in office. However, lawyers for Huckabee have said Parsons' lawsuit violates the qualified immunity public servants are granted in the state's constitution. Huckabee used money from the Governor's Emergency...

News surrounding the state's Hispanic population, growing at one of the fastest paces in the nation, was the year's eighth-biggest story, according to a poll of Associated Press-member broadcasters and newspapers, as well as AP's...

The Eritrea Consulate's office in downtown Oakland was shuttered to visitors Tuesday after U.S. State Department orders, the latest salvo in an escalating diplomatic conflict with the impoverished East African country state. The State Department informed Eritrea last week that the consulate must be shut down by Nov. 8, citing restrictions imposed on diplomats at the U.S. Embassy in Asmara, including travel curbs, the refusal to grant visas to U.S. officials, and the non-delivery of diplomatic pouches, which is in violation of international protocols. By Tuesday morning, however, the Consulate Office in the Tribune Tower on 13th Street in downtown...
