That last sentence made me furious. I am a naturalized citizen. When I went to register to vote I took with me the naturalization certificate that the INS had given to me shortly after the swearing in, at no expense. That's all it took and I have not missed an election since!

I take it the real problem is not the documentation requirements, but the idea that it could take votes from Obama. My answer is, if they don't have a naturalization certificate they have no business voting!!!

You’re right. This writer’s premise is patently dishonest - this is about getting Obama elected.

I don’t give a hoot where they call the old country. all I care about is if they are law abiding citizens. if they snuck in, they are not law abiding and they ain’t voting

I am originally from Cuba, came in 1961 at the age of 13, became a resident and then citizen in 1975. I have not encountered a problem voting since I became a citizen, EVER!

10 million illegals might not get to vote for Barry unlike 2008.

Government needs to supply door service with ballots and fill them out for these people via interview since they are too damn lazy or "illegal" to go and vote on their own.

Maybe if they are given a $100 each incentive pay for voting they will then go and vote on their own!

This will be next.

This is a false study obviously written to enhance voter fraud and serve as a basis for some liberal judge to throw out voter ID laws already under attack. Getting an ID is fairly simple (if you are legally here) and is already a requirement for just about anything one might want to do. It infuriates me that my vote can be so easily cancelled by someone simply wanting to steal from me under the guise of a “fair redistribution of wealth”.

My husband suggests the libs are pre-positioning themselves for court challenges to Romney’s WIN. I bet they will try to drag the recounts out for MONTHS. I hope our side is preparing for Chicago Mafia Shenanigans.

“Decades of study have found virtually no use of false identification in U.S. elections or voting by non-citizens”

How could they possibly know that, or study it?

Its very simple. Grandma dies, the daughter still votes for her. The room-mate moved to a new state...somebody still votes for him locally.

Its indetectable. If you know where a dead/moved away friend or relative lived, you can go vote for him. No study can discern whether or not that has happened.

They’ve had four years to figure out how to get an ID since the last Presidential election.

If getting an ID is such a concern, I’m sure our all powerful government could have come up some government program to get one to all without.

Laws in effect in one state and pending in two others require proof of citizenship for voter registration....Nine states have passed restrictive photo identification laws that impose costs in time and money for millions of Latinos.....

Does anyone have any idea what States these are? I’d love to know. I hope they’re battleground States. Help me out here if you know; please.

I find it an mystery why Latinos are genetically incapable of obtaining I.D. (seemingly, according to the media).

Some scientists should look into this very strange genetic trait. It would be fascinating to break down the genome on this.

I wonder why liberals beclown themselves by putting such drivel into writing. As a natural born US citizen the only real paperwork I have to prove I am a citizen is a somewhat worn copy of my birth certificate made from a microfilm when I was a kid. Naturalized citizens would have an entire paper trail from when they were resident aliens and then finally got their citizenship.

If anything, a naturalized citizen would be far more likely to have proper ID because (I think) they were required to have ID on them when they were still legal aliens. If I visit another country I have my passport on me all the time.
