Fox News Poll: Most voters Want Change, Even As Obama Holds Edge By Dana Blanton Published September 27, 2012 FoxNews.com
The latest Fox News poll finds the race for the White House holds steady, with 48 percent of likely voters backing the Obama-Biden ticket and 43 percent backing the Romney-Ryan ticket, if the election were held today. Thats unchanged from two weeks ago, after the Democratic convention.
Romney was preferred by one percentage point (45-44 percent) before the two conventions (August 19-21).
The presidents advantage is within the polls margin of sampling error. With six weeks until the election, the poll shows Romney supporters continue to be more enthusiastic, although the gap has narrowed. By a four percentage-point spread, Romney backers are more likely than Obama supporters to say its extremely important their candidate wins. Before the conventions Romney had a 10-point enthusiasm edge (August 19-21, 2012).
The Republican challengers supporters continue to be more interested: 62 percent are extremely interested in the election, while 52 percent of Obama supporters say the same. That translates into a 3-point preference for Romney among voters extremely interested in the race (49-46 percent).
In addition, even as Obamas post-convention bounce holds, about a quarter of voters (24 percent) want the country to mostly stay on the course its on, while 73 percent say many policies need to change. Almost all Republicans (95 percent) and most independents (77 percent) think policies need to change, as do just over half of Democrats (51 percent).

BS!
Everyone should read the very last line in the full article. Here it is:
“ The poll is weighted by age and race; it is not weighted by party identification.”
So what is the D/R/I mix? Who knows. A worthless poll IMHO.
But didn’t they use the same parameters before- that is, soon after the RNC convention?
Fox Polls are one of the worst. I can’t believe they don’t weight the polls according to party ID when it’s this close to an election. The bad part about this is every news story will use this poll like it’s accurate and not mention the ID question.
We need to bombard their website with nasty emails, especially Bret Baier, who pays attention to party ID when he reports on the polls.
Sure, gotta have more of Obama/Biden

Cognitive dissonance is the term used in modern psychology to describe the state of holding two or more conflicting cognitions (e.g., ideas, beliefs, values, emotional reactions) simultaneously.
I calling shinanigans!!
I’m calling shinanigans!!
Is it true that Romney has hired mostly failed McPain staffers to manage his campaign? It sounds increasingly like Romney is waiting for McPain to say somthing nice about him.
But again, even in the slanted polls, Obama is stuck at 47-48%. I have a feeling that is exactly what he is going to get on Election Day. Anybody undecided at this point has already decided they are not voting for Obama.
FNC's credibility has been slipping badly lately...BOR called Rush an assassin a few days ago. Sean, Laura Ingraham, Neil Cavuto, and maybe a few guests are the only conservatives on FNC now.
They have figured out what we, Jay Cost, and Unskewed Polls are doing and know they can’t keep up this facade much longer. Gallup had a big article claiming party registration “not important.” Really? Hmm. Not what they said in 08.
He doesn’t care. I twitted him about that last bogus fox news poll and he did not respond.
This was posted like 15 yesterday when it actually came out. And Fox poll had Kerry winning the day before election in 2004.
Now run off and find another bad poll or article that shows Romney is losing. I’ll be waiting.
