David Brooks: Obama gets a ‘pass’ for reacting with calmness on ‘chaotic’ Middle East policy
Dailycaller ^

As America’s strategic and political position in the Middle East continues to deteriorate, President Barack Obama’s political opponents have stepped up their claims that he is an ineffective leader on foreign policy.

But New York Times columnist David Brooks isn’t convinced those attacks will work. During his weekly appearance on PBS’s “NewsHour” on Friday, Brooks suggested Obama deserves a pass for remaining calm throughout the crisis, which he said puts a kind of burden on his challenger, Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney.

Yup. obama ignores warnings of a terrorist attack on 9/11, does not provide security for the Ambassador in a terrorist stronghold, and after Stevens is murdered, he lies about it. But he should get a pass on all that because he stayed calm by skipping an intel briefing the very next day and instead went to Vegas for a fundraiser and did an interview with the Pimp With A Limp.

And the terrorist attack is Romney's burden, not obama's!

I wouldn’t call it “calm”. I would call it more of “unattached” and “ininterested”.

My car gets a pass on rising gas prices. Amazing...she doesn’t seem upset at all.

“calm”? Yeah, golf does have that effect. Fundraisers help take the burden off his mind as well.

I agree with David .... if you spell ‘calm’ this way:

in·dif·fer·ence
noun
1.
lack of interest or concern: We were shocked by the President’s indifference toward the killings of four Americans including an Ambassador and two Navy Seals.

2.
unimportance; little or no concern: Whether or not to investigate and determine who is accountable is a matter of indifference.

When America is being attacked by terrorists Obama gets stoned more than likely.

And Hilary gets drunk.

So, lets be honest. The MSM has only mentioned what happened in Libya in a passing way. If they did mention it, it usually covered for Obama.

Besides, Obama was calm because his pals in the Muslim Brotherhood were gaining power.

All the stuff like dead ambassadors were merely “bumps in the road” to the great caliphate.

Many calm and coolhanded people are just plain cold. That is Obama.

I think David Brooks might be the only 2008 McCain voter in America who is going to vote for Obama in this election. Maybe he thinks there is an award for this distinction.

David Brooks is the only “conservative” in the country who will be voting for Obama.I cannot conceive of any conservative, yes even black conservatives, who will vote for Obama this time around. Unless of course you are paid by the New York Times payroll as the house “conservative”.I do not understand why anyone other than the fiercest Obama supporters reads or listens to this ‘ho.

obama is being calm as he destroys our economy, our military, our energy system, our medical system, capitalism, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, and the Constitution.

So, it’s OK for him to do that.

If we re-instituted slavery, it would be OK as long as the slave sellers and owners stayed calm.

If someone murdered David Brooks, it would be OK as long as the shooter stayed calm.
