Good compare and contrast in Romney's closing statement. Thought I could see Obama say to Romney "you won" when they shook hands. That could not be, could it?
HUGE difference from McCain’s performance 4 years ago.
Obama spent too much time uuhhhing and phumphering for the right word. He looked completely unprepared.
Unlike some, I thought Jim Leher wasn't bad at all, for a lib. He tried to keep things under control. He interrupted Romney more, because Romney had more to say. Obama longed for a teleprompter when he ran out of cliches to loft at us.

Enjoyed reading the various posts on this thread tonite while I was watching the debate and helping my 14 yr old write a report on the debate for her history class.
Was already a Romney voter; loved how he handled the debate! Obama looked nervous, didn’t look at Romney, and wandered in his responses. Romney presented facts, had “fire” and was upbeat and positive. GO ROMNEY/RYAN!!! And God Bless America—and thanks Freerepublic!
