The fraudulence of Obama's presidency is so great that only an analogy can bring us close to sufficiently expressing that fraud. In the movie The Gladiator, Roman Emperor Commodus abuses his power to rule over the people with an iron fist and to ensure that he is viewed favorably, while the truly great man in Maximus is initially thought to be a mere slave and far inferior to Commodus. When confronted with the man himself, however, the Coliseum crowds come to adore the brave gladiator, and Commodus' advantage of holding favor by hiding behind the power of the state is diminished. Eventually Commodus has no choice but to engage the truly superior Maximus face-to-face, and despite cheating, Commodus loses. The last four years and their culmination in last night's debate have been quite similar.
*snip*
The University of Denver served as the Coliseum, the people's Maximus was found in Mitt Romney, and our Commodus-like-president had nowhere to hide. And while we slave-like peasants -- as we conservatives are viewed by Obama -- knew the strength of our fellow gladiator, the blinded masses had their eyes opened for the first time. Just as Commodus, the privileged son of the Emperor, never had to actually fight, Obama has never before had to reconcile his view of the world with reality. From community organizer to "constitutional scholar," to absentee Senator to the presidency, Obama has lived his entire life in a world of mere ideas without ever having to depend on the truth of those ideas.

There...fixed it.
Watch for the corrupt MSM to now work feverishly to rehabilitate Obama’s image. “He had a bad night.” He’s got a lot of foreign policy stuff on his mind and was distracted.” Blah, blah, blah...
“Pulling the curtain back will not undo the damage.”
Key point, Romney will not be the one to undo the damage, if it can be done. I’ve already cast my vote for Romney in early voting, but I have no confidence that he will undo much of anything that Obuma has done, he simply is not the bold Conservative needed for correction. And, of course, Romney will need the cooperation of Congress. But, if we are ridded of the muzzie communist traitor in the WH, that’s a huge positive.
They already have. All incumbent Presidents do horrible in their first debate. It’s going viral with the libs.
Hopefully Romney will simply ignore them again and respond straight to the voters.
That's the truth.
The media’s credibility also took a massive blow last night. Americans now know they were sold a bill-of-goods, and they know who sold it to them.
The media must circle their wagons now and decide whether or not they’re going down with Obama. It’s going to be interesting to watch to see what choice they make.
“All THIS just proves what we knew from the beginning. O was given special consideration and got a regular kid-glove treatment in his first campaign.
All his flaws and inadequacies were ignored and he was NEVER properly vetted, etc.
Only real idiots would be surprised by Os performance last night.”
I totally agree with you. Last night wasn’t surprising at all. He was an inept debater against Hillary, too. And Romney should thank Newt, Bachmann, and Santorum for helping him hone his skills.
The one thing I still wonder about is this: Why did so many leading lefties turn against Hillary in 2008? Regardless of why, maybe we are lucky they did. She is just as foolish and radical as Obama, but she works harder and is generally more competent (or more able to convey competence).
over the years, I have noticed, that when certain folks are nervous, or uneasy, then tend to lean against a desk, as if looking for support....when the Obama, recited the “poor old Grandmother” line, I knew that was the end, he was lost, and looking for support....
The next debate will be worse, Obama is AWOL on foreign policy.
Imagine Romney saying “You were elected to be President, not present”
I don’t mind supporting him, as long as his address is in Kansas, or Cuba.
Dennis Miller tweet:
Obama better hope a Kicked Ass is covered under Obamacare.
Right now, David Axelrod is asking a crying Barack Obama: "Show me on the doll where the bad man touched you."

Nobody on the left that could pull any strings was dumb enough to believe this clown was the great leader that could lead this country into a socialist Utopia.
He was supposed to be forced out before the 2008 election and Hillary was supposed to have scooted in.
Spot on. My take is Obama is the product of the left’s darling project, minority entitlement. He is the exact result that parallels their myriad minority social programs of state support, versus individual effort.
Take away the support - Totus, sycophantic media, etc, and you have an empty shell.
It is total irony that he is the one to display the failure of their paradigm.
obviously you have never touched foot in Kansas or you would know it is a really awesome place with salt of the earth people (Sebilious was an aberration)
Don't forget, how much and how often Evita and Billy Boy stepped on everyone’s toes in DC.
It all came back to bite them in the a#@.
They courted their own defeat.
Friends of mine from DC told me:
‘You can't believe how much those two are hated, even among other Demcrats.’
Anyway, they cultivated a whole goup of politicos who can't stand the sight of them and who loved paying them back for what they did while Billy Boy was in the WH.
