The immediate reaction to Wednesday night’s presidential debate was a torrent of criticism directed at President Obama, with Republicans, and as well as many Democrats, accusing Mr. Obama of delivering a flat, uninspired and defensive performance.
At this point, it remains unclear whether these snap assessments and others made immediately after the debate will be matched by the more sober judgments of voters in the upcoming days. Voters sometimes surprise the pundits by coming to different conclusions about the outcome of a presidential debate.
Mr. Obama has been very aggressive of late on the stump, and his scheduled events on Thursday in Denver and Madison, Wis., will give him a quick opportunity to show that energy. But some Democrats charged with helping to elect Mr. Obama in some key swing states privately expressed frustration after the debate Wednesday night that Mr. Obama’s lackluster performance made their jobs harder.
Even Democratic pollsters said that focus groups they convened during the debate were impressed by Mr. Romney and somewhat surprised by Mr. Obama’s lack of an aggressive performance.

President Obama should deputize Bill Clinton to do the next debate.
Our President is far too busy with matters of state to deal with this man "Romney", whom he does not even know.
President Obama has no need to prove himself to anybody.
If Romney will not accept this, then fine - NO more debates!

He’s never been held responsible for anything in his miserable life! That’s why he lost. From the media to the teleprompter to Axelrod et al, he’s never been responsible or accountable for ANYTHING! It’s really that simple.
To debate you have to have talking points with which to debate with. Accomplishments, initiatives, successes. HE HAS NONE! And it showed last night.

Clinton, please! If taking advice from Clinton was how Obama prepared for this debate, how is Billy Jeff supposed to help by subbing for him. Making a businessman take the nomination was well, not a bad idea. Obama figuring that every debater would be like John McCain pretty much screwed himself over, as if he already was that good at debating in the first place.
Baraq’s picture should be in the dictionary next to “empty suit”.

It really is something how so many on both sides have fallen for the whole Uhbamuh is a great speaker lie. He has never been a great speaker. He is at best a poor man’s Ron Burgundy.
Bottom line....He expected the media to KHA no matter what. Bet he's super p*****.

You KNOW how this will work, already.
1) Infotainment-industry will run polls out the wazoo that will conclude that IF Romney won (and they won’t concede that!) then it “didn’t hurt” The Chosen One, who will STILL have a lead over Romney nationwide and in the battleground states in essentially all their manufactured polls.
2) Infotainment industry will pull out ALL THE STOPS to ENSURE that His Awesome Blackness “wins” the second debate — even if they have to by darn give him all the questions in advance and coach him THEMSELVES! That Big Oh! victory will, of course, set up...
3) the “tie breaker”. The Infotainment industry will spin themselves into dizziness hyping this as The Major Kingmaking Sporting Event Of The Year! The SooperBowl of Bullshiite! (Of course they won’t exactly call it any of that, but you get the picture.)
Hide and watch. This is as certain as night follows day — not only because they’re biased, but also because infotainment is a BUSINESS and the profit motive dictates a dramatic playoff series... oops, I meant “debate series”.
Meanwhile, in the real world where all the decisions are actually made, the silent majority is quietly but inexorably shifting towards the adult supervision in the race...

Wasn’t it reported that Obama was skipping many of his debate preparation sessions?
Ya think his debate assistant John (I fought in Vietnam) Kerry will be helpin’ the community organizer for the next one?
Zero is going to campaign in Madison? What for? Must have a lot of time on his hands .....
Mitt handled the debate the way Reagan did, he was able to land blow after blow without looking mean spirited.
He was able to belittle Obama without looking condescending.
That is how you win debates and voters, Reagan was the best at it with the “iron fist in a velvet glove” approach.
The best part of this tactic though was that Mitt made Obama look out of depth, he made the man look like he was inadequate and ill informed.
He made Obama look like and amateur who didn’t know what he was doing and trying to make policy as he went along.
Mitt was able to do that all without looking arrogant, out of touch or condescending.
It was amazing.
I’m sure Kerry has ‘a long face’ right now.
The problem for Obama last night is that the enthusiastic media who adore him so much, have spent a great deal of their time painting Romney as stogy, un-charismatic and non-presidential. Vilifying him with every commentary they have made, and with every word they have written about him. But Romney, much like Reagan in 1980 who was characterized as being an old former actor and politician with no real presidential skills and no ability to lead, didn’t look like the caricature of incompetence the liberal media had been painting for the public, instead he looked even more presidential than Obama did.
This doesn’t mean that Romney wins in November but it does mean that Obama, who’s record as President leaves much to be desired, has had the only formidable weapon in his arsenal against Romney taken away… Continuing to cast Romney as un-Presidential will fall on deaf ears. Couple that with Obama’s own dismal record and a re-run of the 1980 election seems much more likely after Romney’s performance last night.
