Guns have been made at home since the 1500's. It has always become easier. This is another step in that path toward everyone having access to the technology.

Don’t tell them what can be done with a CNC machine.

The plans for making guns on a $300 used lathe are already on the internet.

I presume that a modern machining facility could simply load up the program into their CNC machine and make most any firearm part within minutes.

There are thousands of small CNC shops all across the USA. What will be the next leftist move, controlling the sale of steel? Probably.

Technology aside. Any, ANY organization, tha tis set up with the sole purpose of removing our God Given right guaranteed by the Constitiution, one of the first 10 Amendments put in place to guatantee the government does NOT take our right s away, should be outlawed. Free speech is free speech. But outright attempting to remove our constitutionally guaranteed rights has to be trumped by the commitment to guarantee those same rights.

This is another step in that path toward everyone having access to the technology.

First read this in the 1950s; it is oddly apropos to this article.

Book review of The Weapon Shops of Isher: One of his classics that I had not previously read is The Weapon Shops of Isher. I finally got around to reading it now because it deals with the issue of the right to bear arms, which is so topical right now, particularly where I live, only a few miles from Columbine High School. In this novel, the eponymous weapon shops all bear the slogan, "The right to buy weapons is the right to be free."

In the distant future, the world has been unified under the empire of Isher, ruled by the young but ruthless Empress Innelda Isher. The only check on the power of the empress is the existence of the impervious weapon shops, which provide defensive weapons to ordinary citizens. [snip]

this does not sit well with the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence (CSGV)

Hopefully 3D printers will also be able to create instant gallows.

This whole “issue” reminds me of the debate over “plastic guns” when Glock started importing into the US............

Hysteria by the media with an agenda attached.

This just means that the gun grabbers will switch from gun control to ammunition control (which they have been pursuing anyway).

A gun is not much good with out ammo.
