His track record (which most ignore) manifestly indicates that Romney is not a social conservative. Regardless of who wins, social conservatives lose. That is the sad state in which we find ourselves today.

My pastor this morning said that there were 1500 pastors around the country who were going to tell their congregations how to vote and to challenge their tax exemption status...
he said that he was approached about it and he told them he was goiun gto vote his values...God’s values...

The reason Progressives side with Muslims is because they’re both anti-Christian. I think you’re on to the liberty angle, but following the thread of history and you don’t find liberty growing up out of either philosophy or worldview. Liberty is a uniquely Christian aberration to the history of mankind.
Eliminate the nuisance of the Christian idea and ideals and you go a long way back toward totalitarianism. Furthermore, both Islam and Progressivism are intolerant, elitist, and socialistic. Statists flock together.
