“OK, a great movie and musical”
I love Shirley Jones in that movie. I think she is just perfect a Laurey, and Laurey has to be perfect.
I agree one million percent. She was perfect, and so was Gordon Macrae. I saw video of a London production with Hugh Jackman as a breathtaking Curly, but the Laurey wasn’t so hot, though she was a terrific dancer, the first Laurey do do both the singing and the dancing. She just wasn’t pretty enough, and they dressed her down to be a tomboy.
