I wish I could have gotten a job talking in front of a camera for 3 movies in the 1970’s and 1980’s so I could be important enough to pontificate on very important things. Instead I got stuck figuring out how to manufacture products required to build places for people to live in, much better, much faster, and with much much less energy...the lowly unimportant stuff.

Great link! Ive always viewed the Empire as Rome or maybe Europe in the 20s. The final scene of the original movie is enough to show Lucas’s colors. The ceremony on the parade grounds with the “hero’s” marching up between the ranks screams of Nazi Germany in my opinion. And Han Solo shot first!
