“There is no point in calling McCaskill a commie. She is a democrat which is very close to the same thing. McCaskill is a crook and a commie.

And yes I’d rather have the commie crook for this reason. The commie crook is in my neighbors house while if Akin wins the a-hole would be in my house. “

Why the hell are you here? Serious question! You are off the rails.

If Akin wins, for the first time in my life, I will be embarassed to be a republican.

That's okay. You can just slink off into your smokey back GOP-e room, where all evolving liberals hang out.

What did Akin say that was oh so embarrassing?

I’m really mystified about this concocted “issue.”

Akin has made no further misspoken remarks, has he? Maybe MO will support him, but we shall see. It would be worth the look on the faces of Rove and Cornyn alone to elect him. Plus he has a good voting record.

Akin’s lifetime ACU rating is 97.24.
McCasket’s lifetime ACU rating is 14.60.

And you would rather have McCasket in the Senate than Akin.

Why are you here instead of the DUmp?

Fixed it. Liberals don't smoke, at least in public.

Staytrue, I've been embarassed plenty by the Republican party. Voting for Akin will not be one of those times.

As conservatives, after that comment, we can say we are embarrassed that you are even posting on FreeRepublic.

“For my country.”

AMEN!!! Did Akin mess up? Not near as astronomically as Claire did? And hers haven’t been repented of. She is still as equal to voting for Obama.

Akin may have tripped up in comments, but I would still rather have someone by FAR that 1. doesn’t acquiesce to GOPe and 2. is demonstrably conservative.

We have got to have that senate seat back with Conservatives/GOP.

Go Todd Akin!!!

You want that leftwing, lying, corrupt shrew McCaskill to win the MO Senate seat? Odd. I’m not a fan of Akin, but would still rather send him to the Senate than Obama’s lap dog McCaskill. It is sickening the way she pretends to be right of Center come election time and then goes to DC and votes with the big government statists.

I suppose it's that he implied he doesn't believe the function of a woman's body is unaffected by external stress.

Sounds like an eminently reasonable position to me, but all I hear is that it was "offensive to women."

I know various functions of a man's body are demonstrably affected by external stress; maybe women's bodies ARE different after all.

Other than his world famous boneheaded statement this summer, he’s an excellent and committed conservative. He’s served his district and our country well for over 10 years. I was hoping he’d drop out because this seat should have been an automatic pickup, but it looks like he weathered the storm and has a good shot at winning.

It is the demonrats that will be in your house and in your bedroom. School nurses advising YOUR children on abortion? that should be the parent's responsibility NOT the governments. Akin served as a member of the House Ways and Means Committee.[16] During his 12 years in the state house, Akin advocated for homeschool rights,[17] voted for carrying concealed weapons, voted against the parks and soils sales tax, and voted against the 1993 tax increase and education spending increase.[18] Akin sponsored legislation to prohibit casino companies from contributing to Missouri state lawmakers.[19] In 1995, he fought Democratic Governor Mel Carnahan over a bill providing state-funding for school nurses. Ultimately, the governor refused to sign the funding bill due to Akin's amendment which would have prohibited nurses from telling students about sources for information about abortion. reference Wiki

I’m good with him getting in. While the press was having a field day with his statement..total pass on years of McCaskill’s bloopers and bad voting.

The dems have got to go this time around.

We do know that a woman’s intensity of response to a man most definitely does play into the likelihood of conception.

Why wouldn’t the converse be true, then?

I imagine if all of the defeatists on this thread were handed a $100.00 bill, they’d complain about the difficulty of breaking it.

Sheesh!

Thanks, LSAggie. Encourage every conservative you know to do the same. I’ll be sending my out-of-state donation to Akin’s campaign.

Maybe you could vote multiple times. We’re assured by Democrats that this NEVER happens.
