It will if nobody watches or comments on it.
Sure glad that FR is here. I really enjoy these threads during the debate. The humor keeps me positive in these most important times.
Go Mitt, Go Military and Go Gators! Get out and vote!
P.S. Ladies, it is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Go get checked and take someone with you! It’s important. My wife and I are members of a club we never wanted to join.
Big questions for this debate are:
1)Can Obama be aggressive without overdoing it.
2)Can Obama match Romney’s in-depth knowledge and go toe-to-toe rather than struggling to repeat formulaic talking points.
3) Can Romney respond to Obama’s agresssion with aggressive, fact based answers where he maintains a “presidential” aura ala the first debate.
4) Will a biased moderator be able to tilt the scales sufficiently such that Obama gains an advantage that makes a difference.
5) Can Romney effectively combat the bias/interruptions effectively without appearing to be overbearing or “un-presidential”
6) Will a Republican, ANY REPUBLICAN, finally explain in detail why the democrats’ lies about the $5 trillion hole in the deficit plan is a lie. (OK this one is my pet peeve).
We had a ‘big’ one August a year ago, just up the road from where I live. The sound .... wow .... big rumble that just grew and then everything was shaking. Pictures were crooked on the walls, a couple of things fell off of shelves, the china cabinet doors almost flew open, but I grabbed them and saved two stacks of china that were about to shake out. Folks near the epicenter had chimneys come down, foundations cracked, schools had to be closed, etc. We had aftershocks for weeks after .... the first big one was a 4.2 about 12 hours later. It was an interesting and frightening experience. Hope everyone up your way is ok ...
Well, we can give it a try. If theres a chance that hundreds of people trying to post to the same thread at the same time is causing a deadlock on the db, its worth a shot to try to split the load. John says the load avg on the web server was low, the cpus were not busy and the db sever was mostly idle last time, but we couldnt get any throughput. Could be a logjam in the db caused by record locks making it hard to get anything in or out.
Even if Holder “holds up the election”.
What I’ve seen in Cincinnati, as I’m likely the only conservative/libertarian in the city is:
* NO one has rang my doorbell about Obama...like ACORN people (in 2008, 10 or so had done this by now)
* Very few/fewer signs in yards
* fewer bumber stickers
I see this stuff on my runs/jogs through the neighborhoods...I can tell there will be a smaller turnout than in 2008 - yes, these are liberal and predominantly black neighborhoods. The crawling over glass to get to the polls just isn’t there.
Is this anecdotal, yes...but it is noteworthy.
Romney will be like Daniel in the Lion’s Den......He will prevail!
No point in watching it.
According to the MSM, Obama already kicked a$$.
They are already practicing their fawning over his highness.
What part of the east coast, I’m in Boston, the whole house shook, scared the crap out of me! Dog was barking like a lunatic.
Go Romney....Go Tigers!
Hey, did you just get an earthquake? Felt the biggest tremor Ive ever felt on the east coast a few minutes ago. Heard it coming, like thunder, then the whole house shook for 10-15 seconds
I bet Obama is so nervous he’s thrown up 3 times already and is sweating cocaine. Romney on the other hand showed remarkable cool in his first debate. He was in control of himself and it showed. His experience and his faith will deliver him in this debate too.
yes I wonder if Creepy Crowley will stick to the stipulations of her contract and just be a microphone stand or if she will interject herself whenever possible to gang up on Romney.
Let us pray
There are plenty of ‘pubs in Arlington. Moreso in tidewater. I’m in blue-ville, but plenty of good conservatives around to keep me company.
I’ll try to stick with it for awhile but it’s gonna be a challenge. I don’t pretend to be a supporter of Gov. Romney, but at least his voice doesn’t make me want to yell at the computer.
She`s already said the agreed to rules are out, and she`ll be playing an active role.
Fr has the same problems that all threads have when something big is going on..it gets slammed.
BTW, do images, pictures have an effect on slowing down a thread or is that irrelevant?
As for the debate, well, I predict Romney will again do just fine, and Obama has about a 50% probability of choking. I was nervous before the first debate. I'm not nervous at all, now. Romney is plenty capable for this.
Here in Jax Fl I have not seen the millions of Obummer bumper stickers this time around.
So now they have to get the media drink to kiss Obie’s behind?
How I wish FR could handle the load for debates and special events.
Yup, FR will crash once the debate starts... count on it.
I honestly can't remember the last time we had a decent live thread going during an important event like a presidential debate. I keep hearing rumors of "new hardware" that's supposed to address this, but.....?
I live in LOs Angeles and of course we are earthquake country.
I watch the USGS website throughout the day.
You can go there to gain a lot of info.
Here is where it was felt.
If you click on the Resp you can see where it was intensely felt.
That’s good. Like the tasered square. About right.
I’m sure she will be all over the place, and not just figuratively.
Hey, check out the main pic on Drudge...looks like Obama showed up early - in duplicate!
All granite under our feet, so earthquakes propagate far and efficiently. Glad it wasn't a big one. Kids got to feel an earthquake - they'll remember it.
“So now they have to get the media drink to kiss Obies behind?”
I guess it can’t hurt.
Drudge playing games again, too .... look at the article title directly above the picture .... not a coincidence.
300 post almost, sorry I’m late. I gather the debate is over.
I think they have to drink to put up with him anymore its a defense Mechanism !
It will be fascinating to see how Romney responds to the 47% question tonight. The focus groups reportedly indicate he hurt himself with moderates with his comments. Most conservatives think he was right on the money with his comments. A bit of a no win situation. I will be dissapointed if he backs off the comments too much. He needs walk a very fine line or everyone is going to be unhappy. I hope he doesn’t take conservatives for granted, but something tells me he will look to appeal to the soccer moms. And the simple fact that his response will probably reflect a political calculation rather than what he really believes pisses me off.

Let’s give it a try.
Start another one, Jim.
Nobody will dare to complain if it’s your duplicate.
Well, on second thought....LOLOLOL.
That was the original intent per the campaigns. Once she b*tched and the fems chimed, in both sides caved and she will be permitted to ask follow up questions. Why do I suspect she will only ask Romney to define his position again and again and again? I have a bad feeling about tonight, considering who will be asking the questions (young NY libs) and who will be moderating the answers to her liking...
In. Won’t be able to post-just hasn’t worked for the last two- but I’ll follow.
Are you sure they are all live ? lol
Thank you! I see the 4.5 in Maine...but it got my attention here too!
According to the leftmedia, hussein won.
Be nice to switch the color on the ties: blue for Romney, red for the commie Obama, also a communist symbol pin, as opposed to Romney’s American flag one.
