Dinesh D'Souza, president of The King's College and co-producer of the hit documentary "2016: Obama's America," is facing scrutiny for his relationship with a woman whom he has introduced to some as his fiancée. D'Souza is currently married but has filed for divorce.
The Indian American, who was raised Catholic and now identifies himself as a nondenominational Christian, stayed at a hotel with Denise Odie Joseph II during an apologetics conference last month in South Carolina, according to World Magazine.
D'Souza told conference organizer Alex McFarland that nothing happened that night though they shared the same hotel room, the magazine reported.
Though still married to his wife of 20 years, Dixie, D'Souza had also introduced the young woman as his fiancée to a few people at the two-day conference that took place at First Baptist North Church.
D'Souza filed for divorce from Dixie on Oct. 4.
The Board of Trustees of The King's College released a statement Tuesday, stating that they were aware of "admitted difficulties" in D'Souza's marriage. But there were other details in the magazine story that the board was not aware of, prompting them to hold a "special session" with the college president to learn about the situation.
The board will again meet this week to continue its review and investigation.
"Until we complete this internal process we do not intend to publicly address any matters related to Mr. D'Souza and his relationship with the College," the board stated. "In the meantime, be assured we take seriously our charge to teach a compelling worldview rooted in the Bible and expect all of our leaders to model Christian character and integrity in their public and private lives. Our primary concern will always be for our students and we promise appropriate communication with them as quickly as we can do so responsibly."
The King's College head told World on Monday that he is suspending his engagement to Joseph. In her Facebook profile, Joseph lists among her "favorites" D'Souza, Ayn Rand, Pat Buchanan, Sen. Rand Paul and RonPaul.com.
D'Souza was named president of The King's College in 2010. He is the author of The Roots of Obama's Rage (2010) and most recently Obama's America. His film "2016," which is based on his books, is the second highest-grossing political documentary in U.S. box office history.
I guess but at least 60% of the material on FR -- including your own posts -- can be seen as "gossip" in one capacity or another.
RE: How about the Kenyan bastard facing scrutiny from the Christian College head over relationships with men?
1) I’ve heard this allegations being repeated in the past, but no one has provided convincing evidence. How can one take this seriously?
2) Obama never attended a Christian college. Therefore, if he had a gay relationship, it would be CELEBRATED by the likes of Occidental, Columbia and Harvard.
These Universities do not care about Christian morality.
D’Souza has never impressed me in any way.
He always seems to be off-balance.
Hydrogen and Stupidity.
The two most common elements of the universe.
I would think the Christian Post would be held to a higher standard than Free Republic.
You don’t? You think its OK for a Christian publication to get down and dirty with tabloid gossip?
All Righty Then.
See post 26.
I aint no saint. But if I were to post at the Christian Post - I’d at least conduct myself with with a Christian perspective.
You have been missing some really scandalous things.
I can’t help you right now because I need to do something else.
It has been all over FR in the past couple of weeks.
Maybe somebody else can help you. Right now I dont have the time.
(You really need to do some homework.)
By the way, once you do your homework, you will find he is a full blown homosexual.
>>D’Souza told conference organizer Alex McFarland that nothing happened that night though they shared the same hotel room, the magazine reported.<<
I am willing to take D’Souza on his word, that nothing improper happened; that’s fine...
But he would STILL be stupid, careless, and totally naive, for allowing the appearance if impropiety ~ didn’t you know they were gunning for you, dumbass??
Oy!
When it’s a public figure, with corroborating court filings and such, it’s real hard to draw the line between news and gossip. Now entirely made-up stuff aimed to hurt the person — that’s gossip. Surreptitious topless photos like what’s her name across the pond — that’s a form of gossip or worse.
Its available as a dvd selection on Netflix. My copy came in the mail today.
Not guilty.
RE: You dont? You think its OK for a Christian publication to get down and dirty with tabloid gossip?

Here’s a question for you — at what point does a Publication report about the divorce or inappropriate behavior of a prominent Christian?
Should Christian Publications turn a blind eye and keep silent on Jimmy Swaggart visiting prostitutes or Jim Baker cheating on his wife for instance?
We all know that Benny Hinn had a divorce. Should Christian Publications stay silent on that?
As I read the above article, I don’t get the impression of any condemnatory or salacious tone in it. In fact, the article tries to get D’Souza’s side of story.
I don’t get the “tabloid” feel in this article at all.
At what point do we cross the line between LEGITIMATE REPORTING and Gossip?
I get it. I see it one way. You see it another.
But if I may bring up a different question...
WHY the vitriol and hatred again DSouza? You and others are eager to throw him under the bus here.
The last time I looked... DSouza and his movie Obama 2016 was a right wing favorite.
Did I miss the memo? Are we now supposed to kick DSouza to the curb? Burn his books?
I don’t get this whole eating our own business. Maybe I don’t mistrust them Indian furreners enough.
RE: WHY the vitriol and hatred again DSouza? You and others are eager to throw him under the bus here.
Excuse me? Now you can read my mind huh?
I don’t read this article with joy, gladness or any tinge of celebration at all.
I see it as a defeat for the cause of conservatism and Christianity.
However, we do have to hold D’Souza and people who we support to a higher standard, especially when they hold high positions in Christian institutions.
As for this :
Are we now supposed to kick DSouza to the curb? Burn his books?
Let me show you where the fallacy of the argument is -— If a health teacher tells his students, with full scientific evidence, that smoking is bad for your health and sternly warns his students NOT TO SMOKE and his students later spied him smoking privately somewhere, would it be smart or even logical for his students to conclude this — THEREFORE IT IS OK TO SMOKE !!
Would an aborted baby stop being a human being, liberal ideas, stop being harmful to the country just because a leading conservative fails to live up to his ideals?
Would Jesus Christ cease to be Son of God and Savior of the world just because priests who preach His gospel have been found to be pedophiles?
So they're attacking him? Well the man is head of a college, so should have some accountability as an example. Still married to his wife and engaged at the same time to another women, and opening sharing a hotel room with her with evidently no worry for how that looks. In my book, I'd say he deserves some attacking.
lolol
You are really on a contentious roll today. Between this post and this other post which was pulled - but re-instated, you are stirring up the pot.
Good Work!
Yeah, D’Souza is an idiot. Let’s vote for 0bama.
Or we can just ignore this story as irrelevant to our lives and get on with the substance of the threats facing our Republic.
It wouldn’t be a news story if it were not to attack 2016.
Didn’t take long for success in Hollywood to go to his head.
