I don’t mean to sound rude, but any one who thinks Romney is going to win the national vote and lose Ohio is on bathsalts.
I agree, but so many here are so focused on the state polls that they cannot be reasoned with.

it’s hard to imagine he can win the national poll by this much and still lose the electoral. If these numbers are real I think it would mean an overall win

I think it’s going to be a bigger win than over Carter in 1980. It could even go as far as McGovern’s crushing defeat. The polls are wrong because so many people, especially libs, are afraid to admit they were wrong in 2008 plus they think they will be viewed as racist if they say they will vote against Obozo. On the down side, the Dems seem to get dead people to vote—even twice in Lake County, Indiana—and that scares me a little. If the people lose faith in the voting process, this Republic is finished.

I don’t think Gallup publishes the breakdown.

You are so right. They don’t call it a bellweather state for nothing. Also state polls lag national trends by a week or two.

Agreed. I’ll be much more inclined to believe this when Rasmussen has Romney above 50. So far, we’ve seemed to hit a ceiling at 49.

Great great news! Let’s continue to run like we’re behind.....keep pushing and be prepared for more ‘attacks’ and ‘wag the dog’ scenarios.

If he really wins by 7% you won’t have to worry about the electoral college. He will win lots of states nobody expected.

While it is true that the electoral college decides the winner, national polling has proven to be more reliable and accurate in past elections. State polling seems to be more erratic and less predictive.

Look to the right of the page about mid way down under “Likely Voters.” It’s 52-45.

Maybe Barry needs to get his name in some binders. Any jobs out there he *would* be qualified for? Teleprompter tester? Basketball bracketologist? Gay marriage counselor?

With a 7 point lead all states except maybe California and Mass. are in play.
