[A] new report says in one Michigan plant, built with $151 million in federal money to assemble battery packs for the Chevrolet Volt, workers have been paid for months to do nothing...the 300 workers at the LG Chem plant...volunteer for community projects or just sit and play Monopoly.

This is our local "green jobs" plant, touted by ex-Gov Granholm (affectionately known as "the Clueless Canuck", or less so as "Jenny Grandtheft") as the answer to all of Michigan's manufacturing woes.

I suspect that if we could follow the money, a good portion of it ended up in Democrat crony hands and Obama campaign coffers - mission accomplished. Many of these green job projects were effectively laundering taxpayer funds back to Obama dark pools IMO.

At one of the government installations where I work, there is a fleet of electric vehicles (GEM) used on the base. One of these developed some kind of short while charging and burst into flames, burnt to the ground, and took out privately owned vehicles parked on either side of it. That center has now issued a warning to people not to park their cars near these electric vehicles.
