Republicans are bracing themselves for Gloria Allred to make a potentially damaging revelation about Mitt Romney, just weeks before the election.

The pro-President Obama lawyer is rumoured to be preparing for her so-called 'October surprise' in which she will strike the Republican presidential hopeful's chances by unearthing some sort of secret or scandal.

Ms Allred has refused to comment on the rumours, which first surfaced in a tweet by the Drudge Report's Matt Drudge on Thursday.

'Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!' Mr Drudge wrote on Twitter.

According to RadarOnline.com, Ms Allred launched a last minute strike on GOP Meg Whitman's campaign for governor of California by representing a disgruntled former housekeeper.

Romney, a Mormon elder, drank a cup of coffee — in 1975!

Probably a disgruntled Romney domestic looking for payday. These types will say anything. Rape, abuse, orgies. There is nothing that 0bama will not do to win the election.
My advice would be to have a surrogate go out and discredit the allred commie bitch, and call her bluff that she will fabricate some salacious, fantastical tale designed to influence the election.

Obama would love nothing better than to use up the foreign policy debate time having Mitt defend himself against some stupid sleazy accusation.

Which is my whole point.

Charge #5 that he told some kid to stop drinking and smoking dope on the beach. Wow, Mittens using public shame to get people to behave, rather than snitching anonymously to the authorities and possibly rendering the kid unemployable. What nerve.

... we can sic an ARMY of hungry GOP lawyers on her...

IMHO, we simply need to spread news of this "threat" as far &wide as possible.

Making people aware that "something" is coming will act as an inoculation.

If Team Romney has another bomb to drop on Obama, they should drop it now to help neutralize whatever lie they are going to come up with.

Her goal is to be noticed, get some publicity and thus increase her fees.

Your getting kinda WE-WE’ed up a little here over this issue.
Too little too late. Our boy has it, relax.
The problem is that Mitt has NO ugly past or it would have come up in the primaries.....trust me. Mitt was a dirty fighter then as well as now and Newt and the others would have buryed him. Then you would have known that if you were really following the trail.

Too much fear mongering going on here.

“Too much fear mongering going on here.”

Couldn’t agree more.

Tolkien used to say one of the themes of his stories was man’s “satiety with good.” meaning when things were going too well and happily, humans would instinctively lapse back into evil ways.

We also seem to have “satiety with success.” When things seem to be going too well, everyone seems to be expecting something horrible around the corner from the slimy other side.

But you know what? Sometimes they’ve just GOT NOTHING, and people are cynically past the point of listening to them. It’s too late for this crap. It’ll be a massive backfire if they try to whip something up.

It’s hard to imagine what they could have unless it’s totally fabricated.

We’ve already heard about the “scandalous” dog in a crate story and the haircut story. The Democrats are busy desperately dredging up trivialities about Romney from 20, 30, even 50 years ago. At the same time, they are dismissing 4 deaths in Benghazi that happened just a few weeks ago as “old news” and not serious. And of course, 0bama’s entire life history is under lock and key.

Maybe a rumor should be started that she has taken on Donald Young’s mother as a client, and she is coming out with a story about Barry on the down-low.

Me want'm law that says new and unfounded allegations within a month before an election that are later proven false no longer have the "public figure" protection within liability law.

That could be interesting.
