One among the top tier of President Obama's army of surrogates strikes again. Trying to promote Team O's latest messaging that, why yes, we are indeed shameless enough to actually embrace our economic record and spin it as a positive, President Bill Clinton painted a picture of Americans that was somewhat less than flattering on the campaign trail on Friday, via CBS News:
Campaigning for Obama in Green Bay, Wis., Clinton urged voters to stay the course as more signs of a recovery sink in. Clinton said voters should judge Obama on the past three years, in which private sector job growth has made up for lost ground.
"This shouldn't be a race," Clinton said. "The only reason it is, is because Americans are impatient on things not made before yesterday and they don't understand why the economy is not totally hunky-dory again."
The former president said Obama’s difficulty in his race with Republican challenger Mitt Romney is that “people don’t feel it yet” even as the unemployment rate ticks down and the manufacturing sector perks up.
Oh, of course — but for those damnably impatient Americans who have spent the last few years watching their incomes shrink and gas and food prices rise; who’ve seen their employers dropping health insurance plans; who’ve been unemployed or underemployed for months on end; they just don’t get it. Forget that President Obama employed Keynesian principles that have kept us in the most milquetoast economic recovery since the Great Depression: There are just too many factors outside of his control, for which we shouldn’t blame him, and if we just hike taxes a bit on the wealthiest few Americans (who already happen to shoulder the largest tax burden while providing jobs for others), then we can just take our sweet time reforming our current spending habits while adding trillions to the debt.
But Clinton says that it’s Mitt Romney who “thinks we’re dumb.” Riiiiight.
Oh, and NOT to accuse my esteemed Cardinal Dolan of liking this disgrace of a political leader.
Whatever he might have liked (wrongfully) in the past has gone the way of the promises of religious protection HHS would have granted. I have reason to hope it has opend the conciousness of the entire USCCB, including their leader, Dolan, to the strange bedfellows democrats, indeed, politicians are of the Church in the US.
Obama had to be invited. Not literally, but the lesser choice of tow evils, perhaps turning into a good choice as Romney and as well the Cardinal roasted him on his pro abortion stance.
But on the other hand, I never had to RAPE a woman either. So I guess it all depends on the definition of "impatient". Right, ya degenerate sex fiend.
Bill is telling the faithful that it’s OK to vote for Romney, if you read between the lines.
Rascal.
You’ve always been pretty impatient with the girls.
Looks who’s talking.....
And America would respect you if you were not a sexual preditor Mr. President.
Bill Clinton has most lucrative year on speech circuit (2011)Former President Bill Clinton commanded the largest speaking fees of his career in 2011, earning $13.4 million and exceeding his previous record by 25%.
... A CNN analysis of those records shows that the former commander-in-chief has earned $89 million from paid speeches since leaving the White House in January 2001.
It’s not about patience. Obama promised that if his $800-billion-dollar stimulus package was enacted, unemployment would not go above eight percent. Yet it was enacted, and unemployment DID go above eight percent.
No matter how much or little patience the American people may have, the fact that unemployment went above eight percent will never change.
Obama also promised that if ObamaCare was passed health-care costs would not rise. But they HAVE risen. Facts are eternal.
If Obama’s presidency ends next January, it will be because he failed to do what he promised to do and thereby made virtually every American’s life worse than it was before he came to office.
And Obama will make his presidency even worse if he blames some lack in the American people rather than his own glaring failures for his loss of the election next month.
That would make a good bet if you could get any takers.
Big talk coming from a 1% er ..haha
Bill Clinton is given statesman status by the MSM.
Bill and Hillary ‘s reputation has gone down for protecting and supporting the Obamas to the tune of total A$% kissing. They really look pathetic. They are completely in BO’s hip pocket. Maybe after the election and BO no longer has any power, Bill and Hillary will come out and say what BO threatened them with.
I think obama owns them 100% and their first grandchild. I think the same goes for the clintons. Their probably constantly blackmailing each other. If hitlery wants to run for office in 2016, I think she’ll keep her mouth shut.
—— When will he go away? ——
When he departs the earthly life - that’s when.
God? .... Are you listening?
He was always impatient to get in their pants.
Check that, change word “impatient” to “smart”!
Those impatient Americans! Just two or three years of joblessness, and already they start clamoring for a new president!
Well, he did have a hand up....
He was always a good strategist, but with he and Hillary standing too close to Obama, I think they now got splashed with the political excrement flying off the Obama administration...they are now tainted forever. When Obama goes down in flames in 3 weeks, he’s going to be taking a lot of collateral damage with him. The Clintons are too closely attached not to be destroyed also in the coming Democrat disaster.
