The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 50% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 46%. One percent (1%) prefer some other candidate, and two percent (2%) are undecided.

Other than brief convention bounces, this is the first time either candidate has led by more than three points in months.

That’s because you got to finally see the real Romney in the 3 debates without the false media filter and without the false filter created here by the anti-Romney spam trolls.

Or how about this - My brother in law (a retired railroad worker)decides who to vote for in every election with this comment — I vote for whoever my Union tells me to vote for.

I understand what you’re saying and I, too, find them with a holier-than-thou attitude. Their “principles” are better than mine—they think. They are lacking humility and are arrogant.

I wonder if Harry Reid has had something to do with keeping the Mormon criticism down...

As an aside, if you were thinking about moving, I would think about listing your house TODAY. The market is going to crash in DC early next year. 100,000’s of thousands of government workers, administrators and apprachicks are going to be out of work. My ex Bro in Law your typical metrosexual, closeted gay, married government worker type just moved to Dupont Circle and pays NYC type rents. He loves Obama, him and his other 20 something psudeo yuppie, rooftop firepit, blue moon drinking, idiot friends. They complain about what they are told to complain about as liberals, but own 2k Gary Fischer Mountain bikes, buy 100 dollar virgin wool sweaters, and have brand new 25k loaded Honda Civic Sis. Not exactly limousine liberals but lets say BMW liberals.

“RCP has not updated, and is still refusing to include last weeks PPP poll (they show PPP for states) that showed Romney up 5.”

RCP has excluded several polls showing Romney up, but the IBD poll is showcased there as credible and not questioned.

The most devastating stat is that only 40% are “certain” for Obama. That means he could actually lose in a landslide, based on a preference cascade.

This is a watershed moment in this election. Romney has finally hit 50% and his momentum has not stopped. Obama is in serious trouble here.

Agreed, especially now that we're into early voting in many states. Furthermore, last night's debate performance doesn't seem to have hurt Romney at all, and may even have added to his momentum. The finish line is almost within sight now. I'll feel better if and when Ohio turns in Romney's favor.

“We have our share of morons here.”

Possibly. But in the case of this election, I think it’s mainly worry-wartism we’re seeing as opposed to moronism. I can’t say that I entirely blame them (the worry-warts, not the morons). However, I’m in the camp that has felt this will be a landslide win for Mittens, and I’ve felt that way for a few weeks now, even when the obviously rigged +D polls showed Ozippo with a big lead over Mittens.

...if you go over to DU, they are VERY confident.

They would be. Unlike us, they don't rely on facts, statistics, and historical data to deduce what's really happening in political races.

They listen to the pom pom girls in the MSM and trust the massaged push polls to inform them. It's why they burst into tears when a Democrat loses. They never see it coming.

“Oh, and I’m still not likely to vote for Romney, personally, but living in Maryland, that’s a rather moot point.”

I don’t have that luxury: I live in Colorado where ever vote cast to rid of us Ozippo counts. Romney wasn’t my first, second or third choice, but he’s 1000 times more preferable to our Muslim, Marxist, anti-colonial, anti-Semitic, America-hating Commie-in-Chief. Even with all of his flaws as a not very conservative Republican, Mittens is none of those other things just listed.

What about 7 of 10 GM vehicles being built outside the US since the restructure of GM? 15 manufacturing plants in China since the resructure? What about Obummer ditching Netanyahu on multiple occasions and sneaking him in and out of the whitehouse in the cover of darkness, and going to Vegas when his presence was requested by Bibi??????

“Well all due respect to your “conservative” friend Romney has made the right moves this election to bring the Reagan wing of the Republican party back. I have not seen much “I will not vote for Romney and I am proud of my decision” here or out in my travels”

FreeRepublic certainly is a different place than it was last April, eh?
