I can’t believe that the dot gov chicken littles are telling folks that LED flashlights are better than incandescent bulb models. I have yet to see an LED model, with the same heft and feel of a larger-than-two-cell maglite. I have both kinds, both made by maglite, and here is a small truth. The LED model washes out detail, that the incandescent shows! It is known that the incandescent light penetrates through inclement weather better than an LED light. But, for the next few days, it is not the amount of light the maglite produces, but the amount of resistive force delivered, when used by the homeowner against an uninvited guest!
