Lt. Col. Tony Shaffer said tonight that his sources tell him that Obama was one of the people in the room watching the Benghazi attack go down and both he and Col. David Hunt agree it would have taken an order by the president to intervene.
Further, Col. Hunt said that we were only 20 min away by jet and a couple of hours away by AC-130 gunships and special forces, and the decision not to intervene had to be political.

I think he’s still a blu-dog. I have MANY friends who are. I disagree with them on many issues, but they do love this country. Particularly, I have a neighbor I converse with on politics. He has reads EVERYTHING that comes out and loves to listen to my recommendations of what sites to visit....Ed Klein’s book....and going to see the 2016 movie. We have some GREAT conversations.
My other neighbor is an elderly blue-dog. He told me right after the 2008 election......”I think we have the WRONG guy in office.”
These are people who I know and love and have voted for what their parents have voted.....and are still ‘stuck in a rut’ with the Dem party. They are waking up. Believe me.

I’ve been trying to parse the White House spokesman’s claim tonight that “Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi.”
While I’ve no trouble assuming that it could just be an out and out lie, given the source, it would seem a risky move given that the truth is likely to eventually come out (and I very much suspect that the truth is that Obama refused to help our guys.)
Then I realized there is one way the statement could be construed as true, but Obama still refused help. It was the same way Kennedy treated the message from the Soviets during the Cuban Missile Crisis, i.e., pretend he never saw it.
Or, put another way, if he got the request for help but just ignored it, it would be accurate to say that “Neither the president nor anyone in the White House denied any requests for assistance in Benghazi.” Denial, in military terms, is a direct response, as in “Your request is denied.” That denial would be logged somewhere as an official response. But ignoring a request is a different story. Not an official denial; not an official approval; not an official anything, not even an “I’ll take it under advisement.”

I still haven’t read where the idea came from to Obama/Hillary/Carney/Rice that the video was responsible. If this whole thing was a set-up (the Stevens/Blind Sheikh swap), then maybe they planted the video themselves ahead of time as an excuse if things didn’t go to plan. If not, who told them all that this video was responsible?
I would think that he is making Mitt mad enough to do these things. Mitt needs to go after him for what he has done. It will stop others from doing the same.
