For president: Barack Obama
Youngstown Vindicator (OH) ^ | October 28, 2012 | Editors

Posted on 10/28/2012 5:58:14 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer

If there is one corner of Ohio that should vote overwhelmingly for the re-election of President Barack Obama, it is the Mahoning Valley.

We say that not for the tired old reason that the Valley almost always votes Democratic. We say it because when the question “are you better off today than you were four years ago” is asked, the Mahoning Valley can answer yes. And President Obama has earned much of the credit.

President Obama endorsed the Simpson-Bowles blueprint that calls for a combination of spending cuts and tax increases. Romney is on record as rejecting even $10 in cuts if the deal were to involve $1 in tax increases.

This has been a rough four years. But the first four years of President Ronald Reagan’s tenure were no smoother. During the Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt’s first eight years were marked by taking two steps forward, one back.

We believe history is on President Obama’s side and that the nation’s best chance for a continued recovery is with him in the White House.

The Vindicator endorses the re-election of President Barack Obama.

Functional liars. He said he liked it until it came to implementing it, then he rejected it.

Oh, Youngstown, how far you have fallen. Once a great steel mill center, now a bastion of liberalism. Idiots! As Mark Levin said: Liberalism is the philosophy of the stupid.

There's your trouble. No, he didn't endorse it. He "paid" for it with lots of taxpayers' money, then took one look at it and threw it in the trash.

When people are unhinged, the doors come off and you can look right inside. This newsrag is exposed for the shill that it is.

Mahoning Valley.

Anyone have the stats on the ground water in this area? # of people on the dole? racial makeup? # of people on medication for depression?

1. Lie that you aren’t endorsing him because you endorse every democrat. 2. Lie that he supported Simpson Bowles when everyone knows he junked it. 3. I stopped reading.

I for one am proud that Republicans have finally learned not to trade tax increases that happen right now for spending cuts that never happen.

Damn fool liars. Apparently the part where President Reagan had us well on the way to a booming recovery after THREE years of his first term is a concept too technical for those idiots to understand.

I only pray that my area of SW Ohio does NOT go for O as it did, sadly, 4 years ago. We have a heavy military presence as well as a large SCREWED DELPHI WORKER population.

How is the steel industry doing in Youngstown, anyway? I can’t believe that the employment rate in that area is any better than in any other in Ohio, and if it HAS improved, well, they also ‘forgot’ to mention that we now have a Republican Governor.

The previous Dem governor Strickland was unable to get the Museum of the US Air Force one of the space shuttles for display at our wonderful FREE facility, even after he ‘sat in the limo with Obama and talked to him about it, and “Obama LISTENED”’. Wow. Couldn’t get us the space shuttle and certainly failed to retain ANY jobs or pensions for the Delphi workers.

Now we are seeing some job growth, as are all the states with Republican governors, and the Museum is the proud recipient of the CCT, the Crew Compartment Trainer module, which arrived in the belly of a ‘guppy’ aircraft, one of the oddest aircraft ever to fly. So we will have a hands-on, touchable, teachable display ready in I believe a year, which includes building a mock-up of the shuttle around the training module.

Up yours, Strickland, wherever you are. Youngstown, perhaps?

Vote for Romney/Ryan in Ohio a week from Tuesday!

I expect to read a similar editorial in the Dayton Daily News, a Cox newspaper, tomorrow.

All the way in the Obama tank, all the time. That’s our local newspaper! Wearing out those kneepads at a rapid rate -

The paper can endorse the Dim, they probably always do. The
difference this year is how the people will vote, due to the
new jobs and growing economy related to shale gas extraction. My sources tell me that even though they may be
considered “low-information”voters, they are aware that
the coming EPA changes will shut them down. I wonder what they’ll do?

The two places that should have gotten a space shuttle #1 was Wright Patterson #2 Houston. Neither got anything but castoffs. I hope Ohio goes the right way, but I’m afraid we’ll have a repeat of 2000 and it will go the wrong way. Pray for our country

I grew up in the neighboring county and I can tell you that Mahoning County (Youngstown especially) is a festering sore.

This article from the Vindicator will give you some idea.
