New Poll Projects: Romney 52, Obama 47
Weekly Standard ^

The bipartisan Battleground Poll, in its “vote election model,” is projecting that Mitt Romney will defeat President Obama 52 percent to 47 percent. The poll also found that Romney has an even greater advantage among middle class voters, 52 percent to 45 percent.

While Obama can close the gap with a strong voter turnout effort, “reports from the field would indicate that not to be the case, and Mitt Romney may well be heading to a decisive victory,” says pollster Ed Goeas.

Should Romney win by 5 percentage points, it would increase Republican chances of gaining control of the Senate. His coattails would help elect GOP Senate candidates in Virginia, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Florida. “Republicans are now certain to hold the House,” Goeas said, “regardless of how the presidential race turns out.”

The poll’s election model takes into account variables including voter intensity, age, and education, and voters who are certain in their vote. The race “remains very close in the surface,” Goeas said, “but the political environment and the composition of the likely electorate favor Governor Romney.”

I am aware of the polls that give too much Dem weight...
I am not complacent..indeed not..
I have been voting since Eisenhower was President..
I have never voted in a more important election.
May God help us save our beloved nation from this Marxist regime..

“Too bad that this minor hurricane blew the Benghazi scandal off the radar the week before the election.,,,a cruel development”

I suspect the Storm will be less of headline issue by Thursday. Fox should hold their ammo (further damning evidence against Bambi/ Benghazigate) until then.

52/47 is exactly what I predicted last week. I would love to see a bigger win, but with Hurricane Sandy blowing Benghazi off the front pages, I think 52/47 may be the final number.

However, consider this. What will be the effect on undecided voters hunkered down in swing states like Virginia and Pennsylvania watching TV and getting inundated by campaign ads? If I was Romney, I would want my absolute best ads here.

THIS is the thread where you post that chart showing Battleground’s past accuracy.

Fine, we win this one. But, only 52%?!

Given what we've just endured with four years of this Marxist and a taste of his Marxist ways, if he can still get 47% of the vote—especially considering the understandable lack of enthusiasm on the left this time around—we are still very much screwed.

Because, if liberalism can still get 47% after all that, We The People are hopelessly stupid and liberalism WILL rise up again, stronger than ever, and soon.

So, if we win but fail to kick his Marxist ass in a landslide of historic proportions, I won't be singing "Happy Days Are Here Again." Although for the first time in four years I just might fly the Stars and Stripes (in addition to the Gadsden Flag), just to piss off the 47%.

A Federal judge (Dem appointee) will force states to extend voting.

Remember St. Louis in 2000?

Yes... I think Juan sees the wheels coming apart. I always thought Juan would be a lot more thoughtful in his arguments. Guess he’s gotta spend more time with people at FOX.

“Remember St. Louis in 2000?”

I do, but that was a state judge who got shut down by the state supreme court shortly thereafter.
