This is a tough time for a lot of people; millions of folks all across the Eastern Seaboard, but America's tougher. And we're tougher because we pull together, we leave nobody behind, we make sure we respond as a nation and remind ourselves that whenever an American is in need, all of stand together to make sure we're providing the help that's necessary.

That's a beautiful sentiment, Mr. President, but where was it when the cameras weren't rolling; when your government heard three plaintive pleas for assistance from Americans under attack and with help reportedly close enough to make a difference?

I disagree. His handlers probably picked that choice of words. He screwed up the Lybia attack, he needed to sound Presidential. Unless the media points out the hypocrisy (little chance that will happen) today's event will help Obama.

I called Mitch McConnell's office today and asked where the "Repub leadership" was on getting answers on Benghazigate, not to let the storm be a distraction from this issue and, by all means, not to let them even mention postponing the election. His staffer asked me if I'd called my own reps. Pathetic.

Obama has done nothing of substance during his Presidency, & he's not likely to change now. Federal disaster relief has historically been slow, clumsy, & bureaucratic. This wont change under Obama. His agenda has never included actually helping people.
What I expect out of Obama is just what we've been getting from him for 4 years - cheap talk & empty promises.
It's just too bad the storm didn't happen a month ago, giving the storm victims plenty of time before the election to realize what an empty suit really is. As it is but one week to the election, it is probably not enough time to convince anyone of his incompetence, but they will know sure enough a month or so from now.

How much do you want to bet he doesn’t even see the irony of that statement. He lives in his own little bubble, with a different reality than the rest of the universe. In his version he is a god who can do no wrong.
I think he knows and I think he does it to mock those of us who know who and what he is and want nothing more than to be rid of him. Notice how he is always showing off his 3rd finger; same mentality.
