My God, Bones. What have I done?
The damn thing should have been in friggin Houston Texas anyway!!!
What the F does New York have to do with NASA that is more important than Houston?!?!?
God is grinning here.
A aircraft designed to work in space was not designed to handle ocean salt or weather.
But hey, we are safe from drinking 20oz sodas.
An inflated tent? What a filthy joke! I’ll bet the NASA facility near Houston could provided something a little bit more substantial to house such a historic relic. Hey Schumer! Get stuffed!
I think the cats are going to need an upgrade to handle that.
Scotty didn’t get the order from the bridge to put the shields up.
Putting that thing on the deck of a WWII carrier is the stupidest idea i’ve ever heard. Totally destroys the feel of a carier. It’s like a mustache on the Mona Lisa.
And giving it to the sewer of NYC instead of to the well deserved NASA collection in Houston is an outrage.
partially damaged?
Gee, that’s a real shame.
Good thing it wasn’t given to the Museum of the US Air Force in Dayton, Ohio, where it would have been displayed in a place of honor in a new hangar that was being built especially for that purpose completely through donations. Dayton is, of course the home of the Wright Brothers and Wright-Patterson AFB.
And where viewing is FREE. All of the locations that were given shuttles, charge for viewing.
Two ended up on the East Coast, one on the west coast. We got none, same as Houston.
However, we have been given and it is already inside where it won’t be DAMAGED, the CCT, Crew Compartment Trainer, so that will be a wonderful FREE Hands-on display in a very short time.
