Obama and Hurricane Sandy. Hurricane Sandy has already impacted the campaigning for Barack Obama and Mitt Romney. But is it going to affect the elections? Indications are that the ground work is already being laid to blame Hurricane Sandy on poor turnout and undesired results.
You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.

It isn’t a strategy, but it is an excuse.
Thanks QT3.14.
TX for this - I think we all know what to expect from this clown and his media sycophants. They will use every trick in the book to use truckloads of fraudulent ballots.
P.S. - don’t rule out outlandish lawsuits...
Nevertheless, Obama is scheduled tomorrow for an appearance in a New Jersey town which suffered severe damage. He's certainly not going to be able to clean up the mess (most of that would be state and local government and private efforts), but at best can dangle some ferderal money in front of the crowd to hope to add to the "47%." And the cleanup certainly will be barely underway by Election Day.
Seems as if the large bulk of the severe damage occurred in Obama states (e.g., New York and New Jersey) anyway, so there is little direct political advantage to be gained by him with his phony routine in front of those adversely affected by the storm.
The 'Rats and their MSM cronies are now jabbering about postponing the election. That would work to their advantage, since they are losing and would like to stop the clock, but it won't wash legally because it violates federal statutes.
Won’t happen as all states have to agree.
IMHO, it would just give Romney more time to increase his leads in swing states.
Agree, for all the reasons you stated. I think this may be a bigger last minute factor for nobama than the DUI was a neg for bush.
Not handwringing by any means, just clear eyed logic. Btw Christie should have done wht Bloomberg did. “got our hands full here, better hold off on coming”
That could happen, but I'm thinking of it analogous to a football (or basketball) game. If you have a small lead that you can lose with one foolish mistake, you try to get the clock to go down to zero ASAP. The more time remaining, the better chance your trailing opponent has of overcoming your lead. Why increase that chance by putting more time on the clock?
Please see my post # 8.
Mother Nature also dealt Obama a bad hand in terms of geography. He'd have been better off if the storm had hit Florida, which is still somewhat competitive. As things stand, the bulk of the severe damage was in NJ and NY, where he's going to win anyway. And coming to NJ decreases the time he'll be able to spend in the "swing" states.
Noticing some panic online about this Hurricane helping Obama..Other than the possibility of post-election lawsuits, if the swing states are razor thin..I dont see how this would help him..
Sandy hit mostly states that Obama has locked up anyway (NY, NJ CT,DE,ME,MD,RI,MA)...or states that Romney has locked up (NC,VA,WV,SC)..
The only swing states affected were- PA, OH, NH... And I’m thinking anything that impacts turnout, or difficulty getting to the polls, will help the side with more intensity: and thats us.
I think it will give Hussein votes. He was “lovable” today, saying he told govn. officials to cut the red tape and get it done. He does a fly over tomorrow so expect more “I love you poor guys” words. He is “saving all people in their time of trouble.” /s
I will add most of those are his voters, but this is all over TV, all over our country, “Hussein loves us, see how he is helping, he will help us the next time a tornado takes out our town, when our forests burn, when a hurricane comes to us, he loves us.”
After Yitzahk Rabin was assassinated in 1995, in the middle of the failed Oslo Peace Accords, Clinton won over the hearts of the Israelis by saying, “SHALOM HAVER” - Goodbye friend. It was classic feigned sentiment that Clinton knew how to do so well. The “RATS” always feel your pain while ripping you off.
You got that right. What hypocrisy! They wouldn't bother with their phony routine if they didn't have such a condescending view of the voters to whom they want to appeal.
