On the White House Web site, the president’s calendar for September 10, 2012 — the day before the Benghazi, Libya, attack — is blank and and the daily press guidance says “The President has no public events scheduled.”
But the president did have an important meeting that day. In an e-mail exchange over President Obama’s record of skipping his daily intelligence meetings, National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor wrote me the following:
I’d also note that this focus on just the PDB and not the countless other NSC meetings the President has each week really misses the point. For example, the President had a briefing with the Principals Committee to review 9/11 threats and mitigation efforts on September 10th. Seems like a relevant data point for you[r] piece.

Since both the WaPo and CNN were on the ground before the FBI, it will be interesting to see how they play it out the next couple of days.
So he had a meeting. So what? What was he told and if he wasn’t told why not? If he was told and still did nothing, it’s worse yet. This is insane.
I have used that word so many times with this pos, it seems meaningless. Is there a better word than insane? Criminally insane. I swear!

“There is a rumor — I want to be clear, it’s a rumor — that at least two networks have emails from the National Security Adviser’s office telling a counterterrorism group to stand down,” Newt Gingrich said on FOX News. “But they were a group in real-time trying to mobilize marines and C-130s and the fighter aircraft, and they were told explicitly by the White House stand down and do nothing. This is not a terrorist action. If that is true, and I’ve been told this by a fairly reliable U.S. senator, if that is true and comes out, I think it raises enormous questions about the president’s role, and Tom Donilon, the National Security Adviser’s role, the Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta, who has taken it on his own shoulders, that he said don’t go. And that is, I think, very dubious, given that the president said he had instructions they are supposed to do everything they could to secure American personnel.
The hurt and anger is while Obama was engaged less than half the time, our military are hung out there engaged 100% of the time, used as props if and when something happens that may make Buhrock look good. Soldiers left at risk, under rules of NO ENGAGEMENT in some places and unarmed in others.
And Thiessen awakens only a little.
He’s not inept. He’s deliberate. He does understand what he is doing, but doesn’t care. He is malevolent.
The fact that they're both WaPo “bloggers” and not WH reporters speaks volumes.
I am inclined to agree with that to a point. You’re at least partly right with that. I’d say you’re more than partly right. The thing I can’t figure is why he would do something like Benghazi on purpose. Yes it would help his rag-head buds, but it was bound to come back to haunt him.
Perhaps he was stupid enough to think the media could cover this up. WRONG!

The prayers of millions are being answered. These men and heros who died deserve the truth to be told!! Our country deserves to know the truth before they vote for a commander in chief. This isn’t about politics...it is about honor, duty and country. Our media deserves to be put totally out of business at this point. They are complicit in the destruction of this great nation and in the cover up of MURDER!
