Game On: Pennsylvania in Play (PA Freeper alert)
Real Clear Politics ^ | November 1, 2012 | G. Terry Madonna and Michael Young

Posted on 11/01/2012 5:49:45 PM PDT by Clintonfatigued

As the 2012 campaign wearily wends its way to November 6 one thing is becoming increasingly clear. Someone didn’t get the memo about Obama’s inevitability in the Keystone state.

In fact, Obama’s once commanding lead has narrowed. The widely followed Real Clear Politics web site tracking the average of state polls now shows Obama’s lead in Pennsylvania has dipped below 5 points. Recent polls show it even closer. In the latest Franklin & Marshall College Poll, Obama’s lead is only 49% to 45% among likely voters, while Romney’s favorable rating has risen markedly from 34% positive to 43% positive.

Even more important than Romney’s surge is the reason for it. Romney is gaining on Obama in Pennsylvania because more and more voters believe he is the best candidate to fix the nation’s economic problems. The September F & M poll revealed that Obama led Romney 47% to 43% on who can best manage the economy. That Obama advantage has now sharply reversed with Romney now leading Obama 47% to 42% on managing the economy.

In short, Romney is gaining ground on the issue that is arguably Obama’s most vulnerable: the economy. The urgent question now becomes whether there is enough time for Romney to close the remaining gap and win Pennsylvania’s 20 electoral votes.

Pennsylvania Freepers are very important this year. They could decide the direction of this country’s future.

PA is going in the Romney column.

The Pubbies have a MUCH better ground game this time around, especially in every location not called “Philadelphia”.

Please Lord, may a superPAC ad campaign lay Graham Spanier at the feet of Barrack Obama.

How did this man get a job in our government... after the scandal broke and after he was fired as President of Penn State?

Hmm...on the one hand, it’s possible that it’s true.
On the other hand, the agency could be a complete figment of Spanier’s imagination.

Ordinarily, one would think the indictment would cause suspension of the security clearance, if it exists.

I live north of Reading Pa, I have seen 10 Romney signs for every Obama sign, and only one vehicle with an Obama bumper sticker. I think the muslim in chief is in for a big surprise.

The indictment lists State College PA as his residence....maybe it’s a defense contractor at Penn State, or again, it could be a figment of Spanier’s imagination.

Finally seeing lots of Romney and conservative position ads out of Philly - including one I saw for the first time tonight - excellent ad about a Canadian woman who had to come to the US to get life-saving surgery which wasn't available in her own country, closing with a warning that Obama will make our healthcare system as ineffective as hers - finally, finally, finally......

Although my favorite ad remains the priceless Tom Smith's with his mother "I wouldn't take Medicare away from my own mother, right mom?"........(looking like she just woke up) "right"......

I'm sorry. But why do I keep seeing all these stories about Romney closing the gap in such and such a state, when I have seen the same headline for two weeks now.

I am very nervous.

We’re good here. Only lost power for ~26 hours. We’re on the same grid as the township buildings and the local elementary school, so we go back up pretty quickly compared to a lot of areas around us. Many nearby communities are still not up and may not be up for a few more days.

Other than that, I’ve been busy with the chainsaw - - good for firewood for three years, at least.

Oh, and my wife asked me to research generators. Will do!
