Democrats declare the tea party over By Chris Moody, Yahoo! News | The Ticket 1 hr 27 mins ago
MADISON, Wisc. -- The tea party, at least its widespread influence on Republican congressional candidates, "is over," declared the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party group charged with electing Democrats to the House.
"House Republican incumbents and their candidates are running as far away from the Tea Party as they can," a pre-election DCCC memo provided to Yahoo News reads. "Regardless of whether [Republicans] win or lose, the Tea Party of 2010 is over. They've been forced on defense in the message fight all cycle long, and now those who win will have done so by giving up on the Tea Party."
The memo argues that Republican lawmakers who arose from the tea party are now promoting bipartisanship and willingness to compromise in their re-election bids instead of embracing the hardline messages that propelled their campaigns two years ago.
It is possible, of course, that this Democratic declaration is premature. Tea party-backed candidates dominated Republican primary contests across the country in 2012, launching what could be a new class of future Republican leaders. In Texas, Ted Cruz defeated the establishment candidate backed by Gov. Rick Perry, and in Indiana, Richard Mourdock forced longtime Republican Sen. Richard Lugar into early retirement. Looking to 2013, tea party groups who are begrudgingly backing Romney have vowed to press him, should he become president, toward conservative positions.

Alan Colmes is getting a boner over this notion.
This makes how many times the RATS/Media have declared the demise of the TEA Party?
By my estimate, this is the ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLIONth TIME the Left has said the Tea Party is Over. They want it so bad. They have to keep saying it, thinking that will make it so. They believe in unicorns and fairies that way.
The Democrat party is over.
In other words, no limit to spending, taxation and cronyism.
Garde la Foi, mes amis! Nous nous sommes les sauveurs de la République! Maintenant et Toujours!
(Keep the Faith, my friends! We are the saviors of the Republic! Now and Forever!)
LonePalm, le Républicain du verre cassé (The Broken Glass Republican)
The TEA party was FOUNDED on opposition to Obama and his policies.
This is our FIRST chance to vote against him!
And Romney is by no measure a TEA party candidate, he’s a good candidate running to win, and that gets my support.
Keep on dreaming the dream there Leftards... The TEA Party doesn’t win every battle, but we ARE here to win the War.
funny- this article came out of Madison, Wisconsin...remind me; what happened during the recall election in that state last June and what were the results???
It’s not as over as Occupy Whatever.
How is that possible when Colmes doesn’t have any?.... oh, well you know.
Hey skippy, THAT was just the Hors d'oeuvres!
2012 is the beginning of an eight course banquet!
They have no idea what's coming their way!
On a side note, FReerepublic has become nearly totally useless and irksome with the current problems. This needs fixing yesterday!
The TEA party is as dead as al qaeda!
It ain't over till it's over, so I guess we'll see tomorrow.
PRAY FOR AMERICA!
Clingin' to my guns and religion!
How many times *is*( this, that the DemoGenerates and their lying, suck ass “media” have declkared the TEA party “dead”?
Must be well into the double digits by now.
16,000 to 18,000 dims attended this morning’s Bronco/Boss barnburner here in Madison. A far cry from the 75,000 that turned out when Kerry the Traitor did the same. Woot! There’s no love out there!
Just more wet dreams as the maggot infected left wing mediots go whistling past their future graveyard.

The president who famously embraced the Occupy movement, closed his re-election campaign this weekend by sneering at the Tea Party.
After failing to mention the Tea Party by name on the stump in 2012, President Barack Obama mentioned the movement during at least five stump speeches on Thursday and Friday.
Noted Politico: At three events Thursday and two on Friday, Obama said that Romney is pledging to rubber-stamp the tea party agenda in Congress.
Thats not change, he added at a high school gymnasium here. Thats what we need to change.
Perhaps this explains the presidents comment to admirers that voting is the best revenge. He might have been referring to the Tea Party, since they have obviously been much on his mind.
And understandably so.
“By my estimate, this is the ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLIONth TIME the Left has said the Tea Party is Over.”
I know, it’s beginning to have the same status as Obama’s “I’m focusing like a lazor on jobs” repeated over and over.......
Apparently, these are the same clowns who told us Rush Limbaugh was washed up and finished 20 plus years ago.
i remember that bruce sh!tstain rally...i thought the number was closer to 80K....
just found this:
“With a crowd numbering thousands between the Capitol and Monona Terrace, Obama sought with his 24-minute speech to lock down a second term with his second trip to the state in the three days.”
“In the run-up to the 2004 election, an estimated 80,000 people showed up to see Democratic nominee John Kerry and Springsteen in downtown Madison as Kerry campaigned toward winning the state but losing the election.”
Democrats declare the tea party over
They’re right at least for tomorrow night.
It’s Dom Perignon.
Yep, coming from the broke DCCC, reported by Yahoo in Madison, Wisconsin. Sure, I will buy it. Said NO ONE EVER>
Just how many seats does Debbie Blabbermouth think she is going to pick up?
The TEA Party is dead. Long live the TEA Party!!!!!!!!!
Yes. The Tea Party is over, man-made global warming is real, Islam is a ‘religion of peace’, and Obama is going to win in a landslide.
Democrats would be hilarious, if they weren’t so dangerous to the nation’s continued survival.
They have no idea what’s coming their way!
You could say that again!!!!!!So I did.
We are dead again? Far from it here in my area. But if we get Mittens in, the Rinos are going to get a run for their money. Eyes are wide open and hopefully the GOP won’t look a gift horse in the mouth...again.
Reminds me of old graffiti.
“GOD is dead.” Fred
“Fred is DEAD!” GOD
“Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?”
They’ve misread the tea leaves, so to speak. It may be true that people running for Congress aren’t touting their association with the Tea Party anymore, but that is because they don’t have to. After 2010, the Republican Party, at least as far as the House is concerned, IS the Tea Party. We’re no longer an outside group trying to get in, so referring to the Tea Party as an outside affiliation is becoming increasingly irrelevant.
Tomorrow the not so dead Tea Party is going jump all over Barack Obama’s ass and go Cock-a-Doodle Do! Cannot wait for Hurricane Tea Party!!!
As I said here http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/2952929/posts.
If Romney wins and gets a second term as well, the dems would have held the presidency for only FOUR years out of the first 24 years of this century.
Which party is dead? Harry Reid, are you there? Bueller?
Think they are still hurtin from 2010, Grampa?
Producers vs. Dependents
Tax Payers vs. Non-Tax Payers
The Tea Party is full of Makers, Producers, and Tax payers.
They pay the bills and they are Taxed Enough Already.
When the “president” can't fill a high school auditorium, Glenn Beck fills Texas Stadium with Tea Partiers. I was there, and the 60,000 plus in attendance did not look “dead” to me.
How do you get 24 years? 8 bush. 4 0. 8 Romney. = 20 ( if you count Clinton you get one more for dems)
“Think they are still hurtin from 2010, Grampa?”
I hope so, and lets make them hurt even more this Tuesday and feel really bad until the next election.
It is sounding like Tokyo Rose and thr Big Mo.
Ha. Thanks. 20, not 24. Still remarkable. Good catch too, btw.
Pull up yer britches, Skippy. Here we come.
House Republican incumbents and their candidates
are running as far away from the Tea Party as they can!
Anything else is just lies told by the dogs of oppression!!
We are winning with 115% of the vote!!
We could look forward to 8 more years for (Future) President Ryan which could make the total 4 (or 5) democrat years out of 32.
We could look forward to 8 more years for (Future) President Ryan which could make the total 4 (or 5) democrat years out of 32 - I mean 28.
Interesting. Pretty sure they knocked on my door this weekend. I guess the nice Tea Party couple I talked to didn’t get the memo.
