Democrats declare the tea party over By Chris Moody, Yahoo! News | The Ticket 1 hr 27 mins ago
MADISON, Wisc. -- The tea party, at least its widespread influence on Republican congressional candidates, "is over," declared the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, the party group charged with electing Democrats to the House.
"House Republican incumbents and their candidates are running as far away from the Tea Party as they can," a pre-election DCCC memo provided to Yahoo News reads. "Regardless of whether [Republicans] win or lose, the Tea Party of 2010 is over. They've been forced on defense in the message fight all cycle long, and now those who win will have done so by giving up on the Tea Party."
The memo argues that Republican lawmakers who arose from the tea party are now promoting bipartisanship and willingness to compromise in their re-election bids instead of embracing the hardline messages that propelled their campaigns two years ago.
It is possible, of course, that this Democratic declaration is premature. Tea party-backed candidates dominated Republican primary contests across the country in 2012, launching what could be a new class of future Republican leaders. In Texas, Ted Cruz defeated the establishment candidate backed by Gov. Rick Perry, and in Indiana, Richard Mourdock forced longtime Republican Sen. Richard Lugar into early retirement. Looking to 2013, tea party groups who are begrudgingly backing Romney have vowed to press him, should he become president, toward conservative positions.

Alan Colmes is getting a boner over this notion.
This makes how many times the RATS/Media have declared the demise of the TEA Party?
By my estimate, this is the ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLIONth TIME the Left has said the Tea Party is Over. They want it so bad. They have to keep saying it, thinking that will make it so. They believe in unicorns and fairies that way.
The Democrat party is over.
In other words, no limit to spending, taxation and cronyism.

The TEA party was FOUNDED on opposition to Obama and his policies.
This is our FIRST chance to vote against him!
And Romney is by no measure a TEA party candidate, he’s a good candidate running to win, and that gets my support.
Keep on dreaming the dream there Leftards... The TEA Party doesn’t win every battle, but we ARE here to win the War.
funny- this article came out of Madison, Wisconsin...remind me; what happened during the recall election in that state last June and what were the results???
It’s not as over as Occupy Whatever.
How is that possible when Colmes doesn’t have any?.... oh, well you know.

16,000 to 18,000 dims attended this morning’s Bronco/Boss barnburner here in Madison. A far cry from the 75,000 that turned out when Kerry the Traitor did the same. Woot! There’s no love out there!
Just more wet dreams as the maggot infected left wing mediots go whistling past their future graveyard.

The president who famously embraced the Occupy movement, closed his re-election campaign this weekend by sneering at the Tea Party.
After failing to mention the Tea Party by name on the stump in 2012, President Barack Obama mentioned the movement during at least five stump speeches on Thursday and Friday.
Noted Politico: At three events Thursday and two on Friday, Obama said that Romney is pledging to rubber-stamp the tea party agenda in Congress.
Thats not change, he added at a high school gymnasium here. Thats what we need to change.
Perhaps this explains the presidents comment to admirers that voting is the best revenge. He might have been referring to the Tea Party, since they have obviously been much on his mind.
And understandably so.
“By my estimate, this is the ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY MILLIONth TIME the Left has said the Tea Party is Over.”
I know, it’s beginning to have the same status as Obama’s “I’m focusing like a lazor on jobs” repeated over and over.......
Apparently, these are the same clowns who told us Rush Limbaugh was washed up and finished 20 plus years ago.
