You do know as well as I do that AMWAY is led by and proliferates among LDS members, along with Maleleuka, Pampered Chef, the candle one, the scentsy one, the basket one, the makeup one etc etc etc.
This is so common in Utah the writers of "Big Love" even wrote it into one season with Margie bankrupting her neighbor with "Goji Juice."
It evidently is for Harry Reid.
He's been quoted as saying that his MORMONism is what made him a Democrat.
I've not seen any exigesis (SP?) for his claim; so I'll have to assume that HE has found something in MORMONism to be the way he is.
Richard DeVos of Grand Rapids, MI, co-founder of Amway, Religion: Christian Reformed Church
Jay VanAndel of Grand Rapids, MI, co-founder of Amway, Religion: Christian Reformed Church
Doug DeVos of Grand Rapids, MI, co-CEO of Alticor (was Amway), Religion: Protestant
Steve Van Andel of Grand Rapids, MI, co-CEO of Alticor (was Amway), Religion: Roman Catholic
Since these things are easily researched, perhaps you should do more homework.
I realize that Wikipedia is not the last word in accuracy, but they are sincerely trying to gain ground on "Big Love" for credibility. Maybe within a few years, they'll have a crack team of researchers to compete with "Big Love" and we can start to place more trust the information we find there.

The masses are taught not to think for themselves but to just do what ‘feels’ right. The amount of illogical thinking is appalling.
And those who DO think for themselves are often attacked. Sad reality of today.
DAMN you Obama voters!
“In short, your Mormon friends are lying to you in hopes of making the LDS church look good and getting you to convert.”
Sorry. Some of them I’ve known over a 30 year period. Many of the Mormons I knew never made ANY attempt to convert me. They simply were not that religious.
Your accusation has been made against Baptists who hoped and prayed for the conversion of Jews and Mormons and others. It isn’t true then, either.
I’ve also known converts out of Mormonism who have had divided families most of their lives. It isn’t true then, either. Life simply isn’t the way you portray it.
You found some co- folks.
Didja leave any out?
NOOO!!!
MP3 File
This is the audio clip of Dallin H. Oaks, current Mormon Apostle leader, from the PBS documentary, "The Mormons", declaring unequivocally:
"IT'S WRONG TO CRITICIZE LEADERS OF THE (MORMON) CHURCH, EVEN IF THE CRITICISM IS TRUE."Don't criticize?

Certainly, by whatever your definition of "leadership" is, I must have.
However, since most people inexplicably equate the term "leadership" with "Chief Executive Officer" when discussing a corporation, I thought it best not to rock the boat by declaring some mid-level Amway participant living in Orem, UT to be the Alticor/Amway corporate "leadership." Besides, the DeVos family called from Michigan and were quite insistant that I not do that.
My local newspaper, The Express-Times, endorsed obama. Glad were not subscribers anymore...

I went to bed that night wondering what Willard would do with 2012 gallons of Green Jello he and the family had to celebrate with while they watched the fireworks ...
They did justice to the funeral potatoes though...

I suspect I know more about Mormonism than you do. It wouldn’t be hard, since you seem to believe I was in danger of having the Mormon Church hire an assassin to kill me when I lived in Utah. This isn’t 1850.
I suspect you might be right.
But I KNOW that I post more of it's scripture, teaching and history than you do.
Oh; I'm sure they could find a volunteer to do it.
“But I KNOW that I post more of it’s scripture, teaching and history than you do. “
Yes, and you seem to think this has relevance for a Presidential candidate and that Obama is therefor a better person to have in office. Thus you post this on a political thread rather than in the religious forum.
Maybe you think this does some good. I doubt it does, but I’m already convinced Mormonism is false. I had these sorts of debates in high school in the 70s before I ever moved to Utah. I’ve read thousands of pages of material.
So what is the point in lecturing me, or posting a link to CARM?
“Oh; I’m sure they could find a volunteer to do it.”
Well, they didn’t in the 7 years I lived there, and failed again when I visited in October...
No, you said trying to become wealthy is a biblical principle now YOU prove that.
We are not electing a Christian king. At the same time I will not be party to advancing and anti-christian ideology.
