McDonald's flies flag upside down

The American flag at the Follansbee McDonald's is flying at half-staff and upside down today. Someone at the restaurant told one of our reporters this was "the owner's decision." What are your thoughts?

That’s why I hold stock in McD’s. It makes money for the past 15 years. Plus, I knew about it a few months ago when this 2 homeless bruthas’ were arguing at the bus stop why Mickey D’s did not accept their EBT’s....then they scrapped.

Animals. MCd’s also has a statement somewhere on their site about it.

Told her that we were NOT donating a single red cent to these godless liberal bassturds in NY or NJ....ever. They are not worthy of it.

Hello from New Jersey. You are absolutely correct. These neighbors of mine who voted for Zero (and I am in the bluest part of NJ, so they overwhelmingly voted for him) can KMA.

RE #3: “There’s somebody losing their franchise.”

I wonder how long it will be before chix fill-a is shut down and all of their assets seized by executive order?

Maine just voted in homo “marriage”, so I’m afraid my hopes of a Chix-fill-A locating in this state were just dashed.

The flags along Main Street in our small ME town (which voted for Obama and re-defined marriage) were at half staff this morning and stayed that way all day. I don’t think our majority leftists even noticed - they are probably not given to looking up at the flag all that much.

Mine came down after that SCOTUS calamity last summer. It honestly felt like it was some relic along the lines of a flag from some country that ceased to exist decades ago.

Point well taken. (I was kidding, by the way.)

Nothing about the government will cost this guy his franchise. McDonalds corporate not wanting to take sides and irritate customers will do it. They like to be politically neutral, when you have tens of thousands of stores scattered around the world it’s a good hobby.

Somebody driving by that McDonalds may call 911, thinking the workers and customers have been taken hostage.

They would be right in that assessment.

I work two hours from home, and stay near work during my work week. When I arrive home on Friday evening, my U.S. Flag will be turned upside down, and will remain so until this traitor is gone.

I had considered flying the flag upside down before the election but decided against it. I won't fly it at all now. This is what's out front now.

The people have spoken and they have voted for a lawless nation.

It’s in WV who were one of the first states to go to Romney. Coat miners are out of their jobs, plants have closed and you are concerned he will offend someone and make someone mad? He didn’t shut the plants. Keep things in perspective.

What’s he win? Losing the money he’s spent buying franchise? Losing the time running them? Losing future ability to get other franchises (guys that get fired from one franchise business tend to get rejected by others)? Sure he made a clever statement about the election results, which didn’t actually accomplish anything, but it was clever. Good for him, but the long term accomplishments are still zero.

Who’s concerned? I’m not concerned at all. I’m just pointing out that he broke one of the big rules McDs corporate has for franchise holders and they won’t take kindly to it. One way or the other they still have a business to run, and having one of your franchise holders get your logo in a picture that will irritate 57 million people is bad for business, even if the guy is right.

I absolutely agree with you. I had gathered blankets and clothes to send to the Salvation Army. Actually called them for a pick up. When they showed up this afternoon I had to tell them I changed my mind. That I would rather give the items to homeless vets on the street than anyone on the east coast who voted for this socialist pig. At least the vets earned my respect.

As far as I’m concerned they can knock on Beyonce’s door and beg for blankets. Call up Katy Perry for clothes. And let Samuel L. Jackson and Morgan Freeman save them. Maybe christie can cry hard enough for Springsteen to get him to feed them. But I won’t lift a finger for the socialist’s who voted to tax me into poverty while they live high on MY hard work!
