Can you imagine that they couldn't even hit a drone that does no evasive manuvers.

That doesn’t make sense. Obama got elected to a second term and the Iranians still don’t like us? Guess we’ll just need to try harder to be nice. If we do that I just know they’ll start to like us more.

It has been confirmed that Iranian jets opened fire on an unmanned U.S.drone last weekIsn't the timing of the story interesting: after the election. I'm sure it was just an oversight -- not.

President Obama ordered a immediate search and rescue effort to save the pilots.
“We leave no one behind” the President said.

I guess they need to go back to the predator Obama let them “acquire” and take some more notes.
Good try though...he he he
To: VA Voter
Maybe those two Iranian aces thought the drones exhaust might overcome them and decided to break off the engagement.

John Batchelor told Larry Kudlow this evening that backchannel negotiations on the nuclear program have been underway with the Iranian regime for over a year. Obama is desparate to complete a deal with the ayatollahs so he can fly to Tehran
ala Nixon to China.
Batchelor's sources told him that the deal and visit were to be consummated in February (for maximum effect before the election), but that talks stalled, and the recent provocations by Iran were intended as irritants to bring Valerie Jarrett back to the table. Yes, the half-Iranian socialist thugess, alumnus of the corrupt Daley Chicago gang, is negotiating away the security of the Middle East on our behalf.

the SU-25 is NOT a FIGHTER jet, any more than a 777 is a “fighter jet”.
This is like how journalists say EVERY rifle is an AK and every pistol is a GLOCK.
IDIOTS.

Maybe they wanted to ding it so they could recover it and acquire the technology

EDUCATED GUESS ONLY:
Reasonably sure the drone has some form of radar detection & advisory system...
...that would advise the pilot and weps officer that the bird was being painted by threat radar--perhaps even with threat azimuth...
So the pilot could remotely fly the drone through at least some basic climbs/dives and directional changes....
....that would prolly be enough to really screw-up ol' Mockmood's missile alignment or machine-gun scope-dope...
Justa thought...
*****************
My question would be...
Where were the US FA-18's that should have splashed these Iranians 0.7 seconds after their first missile came off the rail?

Here is an idea. Maybe we will get into a shooting war with Iran, OK. And guess who will be the CIC?
If Rom had won they would say that Republicans are cowboys who start wars.
Now we can blame the apocalypses on O.
(Of course no one will probably be left to vote anyway.)

Don't go talking sense... Then you're going to start questioning why the drone was in international waters. I would've expected it to be in international airspace but you know, that's just me. Maybe that's why they couldn't hit it, they weren't armed with ASW weapons?
