No. 8 - Continually confront and challenge the State-Run Media Axis. And demand that our candidates do the same.

The GOP-E can’t be saved, especially after this debacle. It needs to be burned to the ground and rebuilt from the bottom up. Let it go the way of the Whigs.

Maybe allowing our nominee to be chosen by two moderate, lily white states that seem to choose their favorite Republican candidates

The establishment doesn't get to choose the next GOP nominee

BTW, the GOP-E already preempted that item in Tampa.

Delegate allocation needs to be reformed big time. It makes absolutely no sense that California (who will never deliver a single electoral vote to the GOP) gets more delegates that Texas (who always and reliably does).

Right now, the delegate allocation process is roughly 3/4th based on population and 1/4th based on reliability of delivering electoral votes to the GOP ticket. That ratio needs to be reversed.

I have no problem giving states extra delegates for GOP governors, congressmen, U.S. Senators and state control of legislatures. But they need to do something when they have those advantages.

Pennsylvania pissed away a golden opportunity to deliver 13 electoral votes to the GOP ticket this year when our state chairman blocked a bill introduced last year to allocate our electoral votes the same way they do in in Maine and Nebraska: 1 for each congressional district, 2 for the statewide winner.

” and then, in 2016, we’re going to beat whomever they run like a rented mule and step over their political corpse into the White House.”

Heard this story ever since 2008. “ A ham sandwich will be able to beat Obama in 2012.”

How did that turn out?

Screw the GOP.

Support the Democrats in every silly little thing they want to do. Once the USA has disintegrated, THEN build a Conservative party.

3) The establishment doesn't get to choose the next GOP nominee: What have we been hearing over and over again from the D.C. establishment and the Old Guard in the Republican Party? We have to choose a moderate candidate who runs a bland, safe campaign and doesn't talk about social issues. Well, guess what? We just lost two straight elections against a weak opponent with candidates who fit that mold perfectly. Next time around, we need a full spectrum conservative who can actually inspire people to turn out to vote FOR HIM instead of just AGAINST the Democratic nominee.

Here we go again. The GOPe didn't select Romney or McCain, the primary voters did. Decisively.

Reforming the primary system so that it isn't all or nothing might help, but blaming the GOPe because the voters selected Romney won't.

They need to do nothing.

There is nothing that can be done to salvage the situation. The tyrant will rule as he pleases. there is no need to pander in any way toward his wishes.

Doing nothing may resolve the issues within 6 months, a year tops.

Let the man be crucified on the cross of his own making.

1. Accept the fact that the majority of American voter are COMPLETE MORONS who cannot read or understand words longer than 2 syllables. Every time I heard Romney and especially Ryan say “sequestration” I wanted to hurl. The next campaign has to be based totally in pictures. Think Big Bird was dumb? It was brilliant! Democrat voters all know who Big Bird is. If they even heard the word “Benghazi” they probably thought he was a guy who had it coming.

Pretty well stated. Some additional thoughts:

We got Mitt because the conservatives were and still are fragmented. We got outvoted in the primary, period. We don't control the pubbies because conservatives don't have enough votes. Heck we run people that agree with us eighty percent of the time off Free Republic because they are not pure enough. Note to conservatives this is not the way to gain the necessary votes to win.

Be that as it may, we lost the election IMHO because our candidate did not forcibly attack the dims. And what attacks might be appropriate? It is past time to call lifelong welfare recipients what they are: THIEVES. It is past time to call the mainstream media what they are: PROPAGANDISTS. It is past time to identify the democrat party as the party of VOTER FRAUD. We get voter fraud because we don't enforce existing laws and cannot/will not pass the laws necessary to protect the integrity of the ballot box. It is past time to call democrat run cities what they are: LAWLESS. And it is way past time to say so FORCIBLY.

It is past time to call activist courts what they are, DICTATORS. And it is way past time to provide support to freedom loving states by supporting NULIFICATION.

In short Pubbie leadership, it is past time to stand for something and tell the truth. What do you have to loose? Your methods and moderate ideas are not winning anyway.

Pet peeve time.

There's a reason Albert Einstein said that "insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results."

I can find no reason to believe Einstein or Ben Franklin ever said this. It certainly doesn't sound like language they would use. The earliest attribution seems to be to a book from Narcotics Anonymous in 1982. Whenever I hear this quote (or any other quite so glib)attributed to a great thinker from the past, I lose a ton of respect for the writer.

It is a good quote, but there is no need to falsely attribute it to make it more meaningful.

The establishment doesn't get to choose the next GOP nominee:

They will as long a multiple conservative candidates and only one or two moderates are in the primaries, resulting in the normal vote splitting among conservative voters. We let barely 1/3 of the voters pick a moderate for us in the primaries, and more than half of those are from blue states. The blue states are picking the Republican nominee, and then don't go for him or her in the general election.

I doubt there'll be any radical change in the primaries, so deciding on one, or two at the most, conservative candidates before the primaries start is about the only way to improve that situation for 2016.

This turn around will not be happening at the ballot box. People will be picking up the pieces in a different way.

With the exception of a couple of Republicans, I doubt the Republicans will do anything to change. Unfortunately the only people to run for office in dc are wimps, girly boys. They NEVER put up a fight for their ideals..they wimp out. We have a terrorist being taken care of, at Ft Hood. He killed 13 American Service members, wounded many more a couple years ago. Today an Army fellow is on trial for killing enemy members, Navy Seals are being brought to trial for a game, and the Terrorist Haasan has YET to stand trial.
