The dem's would just love that. Instead of facing one party, the dem's would face two mini-parties who would divide the conservative vote.

Since America has no run-off system, the end result: dem's win every election.

We are a winner take all two party system with no chance for coalition government. In general elections, especially at the national level, most of us will always have to vote for the least bad option.

All this bluster about starting a new party is nonsense. There are deadenders every cycle who will waste their votes on such silliness, but they will never amount to squat.

Yes, conservatives need to get behind primary candidates early - but we need GOOD candidates. We are struggling mightily at the state and national level and part of that problem is (at the state level anyway) is nominating poor candidates. People like Angle, O'Donnell, Akin, etc, are awful. We need to avoid those kind of joke candidates. Nationally, goofballs like Herman Cain need to be weeded out right away. That so many conservatives were rallying around a guy running a glorified book tour (paid for by campaign contributions) was just pathetic. We need conservatives that are polished candidates, skilled politicians and happy warriors.

I agree. And we need to make sure we have good competent local and state republican leadership which will be decided in the next couple of months.

Perfect, utterly perfect. This must be our theme starting now. 2014 is rapidly approaching along with all kinds of state and local races. Let's make the 10th Amendment count by holding on to states and capturing more localities.

TN has an excellent chance to become the Hong Kong of America with GOP control. I hope they do it.

Instead we can vote for a useless gop that doesn’t win, either. Or if it does “win”, its first instinct is to cringe, cower, and capitulate. And we lose in the long run anyway.

Thanks, but if I’m going to lose I’d prefer to do so straight up and know that I at least stayed somewhat true to my beliefs.

Got it, we need candidates like (Rand) Paul, Rubio, Cruz and Mike Lee. They all defeated GOP half-assers. You’re correct about the numbskulls like Akin...I’m still wondering how somebody so stupid (or too lazy to rehearse stock answers) could ever get so far.

How did the latest GOP challenger do in DE btw?

Your analysis is long on emotion and short on facts.
