For those that keep repeating how they stayed home b/c Romney was as bad as Obama, please tell me how many of you voted for McCain and not Romney ? You have every right to stay home, but I know dozens of people that didn’t vote for McCain and turned out for Romney. I’ve yet to meet anyone that did the opposite.

I voted for McCain in 2008 and voted for Tom Hoefling in 2012.

I learned my lesson, that voting for a liberal just encourages the elitist GOP leaders to run another one. My fervent hope has been that Romney's support would be small enough for people to realize that the GOP cannot win by offering the voters a fancier liberal than the Democrats.

I suspect that they'll try it again in 2016. I hear Rove saying that the only reason Romney got beat is because Obama badmouthed him and suppressed the vote. It doesn't sound to me like Rove learned anything from this experience.

If you want them to quit running liberals, then quit voting for liberals.

OK, I’ve asked this several times and there’s one person that voted for McCain but not Romney.

Anyone that voted Romney but not McCain ?

So you voted for a guy who had no chance of winning and who has stated he would use military force to implement his version of laws regardless of what the courts say?

Exactly. In my opinion, too many conservatives where I live sat on their butts and did very little to help Newt or Rick Santorum and both of those campaigns were literally running on a shoestring budget while Romney’s campaign had a bunch of workers, signs, phone banks, etc. and they won pretty easily. We had so few campaign workers to walk the precincts for Newt and because there was so little money many times we had to call voters on our own cellphones to get them to go out while the Romney machine had dozens of workers walking the pavement and phone banks with voter rolls to get out the vote on primary day. Conservatives can whine about being stuck with the establishment candidate but the plain fact is not enough of us did the grunt and leg work needed to get a conservative the nomination, nor did we give them enough financial support. That’s the bottom line. The Tea Party sprang entirely from grassroots supporters. They bucked the establishment and they were responsible for the big congressional gains of 2010. The GOP establishment is already talking about pushing their guys like Jeb Bush and Chris Christie for the next presidential election. If we’re going to get a conservative nominee in 2016 it’s going to be a grassroots operation and we need to work our butts off so we don’t have another repeat of 2008 and 2012.

Why are you discussing 2016?

You will have no nation or Republican Party to defend in 2016.

Obamacare is now impossible to repeal. The deficit will be $22-24 trillion in 2016.

The US economy will be at or near collapse.

There will be a Hispanic amnesty so look forward to another 10 million Democrat voters.

And you are talking 2016 as if anything matters in the 2016 elections? No, this was the last election wherein we had the power to save the nation.

It is over. The 2016 presidential election will prove meaningless. You are too late. The damage will be finished by 2016. There won’t be anything to save and the demographics are just getting worse every year that more Hispanics and other children brainwashed in the government schools come of voting age. There will be 30-40 million new Obamacare recipients and all of them will vote Democrat for their free goodies.

It is over. The 2016 election comes too late for anything.
