Petraeus to Try to ‘Put Life Back Together’ Before Any Benghazi Testimony

The ranking Republican on the Senate Intelligence Committee said he’s spoken to former CIA Director David Petraeus about still testifying on the Benghazi attack — and the answer is not now.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.) said on ABC’s This Week this morning that his committee wasn’t told about the Petraeus investigation — reportedly centering around his mistress and emails — until Friday, when the general’s resignation was announced.

“He and I have already had a conversation. You know, he’s trying to put his life back together right now and that’s what he needs to focus on,” Chambliss said in regard to Thursday’s closed-door Benghazi hearing, at which Petraeus was supposed to testify.

I predicted this last night in a FR thread. Petraeus is on Team Kenya. Proceed accordingly.

It’s like I said, this might turn out to the good. I don’t know if Cantor meant it to, but it might be OK.

I concluded the same, and perhaps for the WP commandant’s daughter. It is extraordinary that this woman married the achiever and let her own appearance spiral to a point of shocking careLESSness.

Does anyone remember a hot book from back in the late 70s, called “Dress for Success” there were two versions, if I remember right. One for women, one for men.

In that book, they described the kind of “look” and apparel preferred by military officers.

Definitely not Holly’s - the opposite, in fact. But, Holly is not a young woman, and she doesn’t dye her hair. She may be hypothyroid, have other health issues, like me, and can’t lose weight no matter how hard
she tries.

Not every 60 year old woman looks “fantastic” - particularly if they are working, and do not have time for gyms, spas, plastic surgery, etc.

Please, don’t start picking on post-menopausal women for how they look. Most of us do the best we can, and it isn’t always easy to compete with the 30-something crowd, who eventually will have to struggle with similar problems.

What the F!!!!! Sure putting his life back together is way more important than 4 murdered Americans. Do I need the sarc tag????????

What about the lives of the four murdered American families?
When do they get to put their lives back together, by getting to the truth.

The Senate is controlled by the Rats.

We’ll have to await Issa’s move.

That's the truth. There is a lot more to this than we know yet. I find it hard to believe that a sixty year old man with everything to lose would suddenly start messing with other women. If he has been a skirt chaser all of his life, I can't see how he got such rank and esteem. He seems to have been really careless with his choice of women. I'm military and the higher the rank, the more they frown upon extramarital affairs.

I’ve seen the future, I can’t afford it
Tell me the truth sir, someone just bought it
Say Mr. Whispers, here come the click of dice
Roulette and blackjacks, build us a paradise
Larger than life and twice as ugly
If we have to live there, you’ll have to drug me

In the Military, doesn't what the General did justify a Court Martial event?

Call me a dreamer...........but Benghazi needs to keep open and investigated until Obama is Impeached. This an enormously important story and the dimwitted Dims are not going to be able to hide this.

Oh, I don’t know. Maybe it was an ‘arranged’ marriage. I don’t think her father would have wanted her to marry an auto mechanic.

Read this thread if you want some interesting information:

Petraeus’ sweetie said that the AQ gang was trying to get back two Libyan AQ members being held in a CIA “secret prison” in Benghazi. This is very probably true, although another Freeper said there were four, they were actually held by the US until the very end, and then three of them were turned over to the “Libyan forces” and their whereabouts is now unknown.

So either (a) Obama was clueless and, since he attacked Bush on secret prisons and renditions, was embarrassed by this and doesn’t want to admit to the Muslims that this was happening under him; or (b) he was aware of it and had been at least indirectly involved in the AQ plans to break them out.

There was absolutely no intention of allowing any substantive testimony. Hillary is out of the country, and Petraeus is refusing, and of course his majesty will never be subpeoned. If either were to testify, they would most likely have an unfortunate fatal accident.

He has the rest of his life to do that. He didn’t complete the job he left, he knew they wanted to talk to them and he left!

He turned his back on what his country wants and has a right to know as do the families of those slain Americans.

So bogus on what we hear about he trying to get his life in order.

The GEN won’t testify any time soon without a subpoena. The FBI has his emails apparently. Now we have a second bimbo eruption and related pillow talk. It seems this is just the tip of the sordid iceberg.
