Republicans in Congress should let Obama have his way

The only hope for an America that would reward such epic failure by re-electing Obama and a Democratic Senate, is to accelerate their re-education in the consequences of liberal Democrat economic policies.

Speaker John Boehner should announce that he has heard the voice of the people and will honor that voice by letting the President’s agenda be fully enacted so that there will be no doubt who owns the economy. We can’t obstruct enough to make a difference in the natural outcome of events, so why strain at gnats?

Let us make clear that we are doing this out of respect for the vote to re-hire Obama and to let the people have what they voted for. It took many decades to produce such an electorate and if the Titanic liberal culture can ever be turned around, it will only be after hard lessons are learned and the voters can easily assign blame.

I say, let’s get out of the way and let Americans have it all now, while some may still have a faint memory of the jewel of what was, and so might have a chance of choosing to return to Liberty rather than devolving into Third World status.

This lobster seems to need to feel an even greater boiling water heat. They chose it. Let them have it all. Reason doesn’t work with these people. They are beyond those appeals.

Time for tough love. Let the teenagers drive the car unrestricted and maybe we can recover after the inevitable car gets wrapped around the tree.

America now resembles the guy that jumped off the Empire State building only to decide to reverse course after descending to the 25th floor. He must suffer the natural consequences of his irrational acts before he can act to improve his lot.

Let them eat totalitarianism.

Let them OWN the disaster that will ensue.

That would result in an economic collapse, and a never ending third term.

Full Surrender?

I understand the logic (frustration) behind this but unfortunately Republicans control the House so they must sign on to anything that gets to Obama’s desk.
It was painful to watch Paul Ryan deny he supported the debt limit cuts when he is on tape praising that bill as a victory, so this wont work either.

The only way to do this practically if it was desirable, and I am not saying it is, is to have enough Republicans resign in the House to give it back to Pelosi.

Just as a vanity I warned here about the risks of Rs taking control of the House January 2011. It was obvious that O would make them the scapegoats for everything, and he did. It made beating O much harder, although it could have been used more effectively than it was to Romneys favor.

Not at all. They can abstain from voting. Speaker Boehner should have no trouble convincing his minions to do so.

Only problem is, it could be political suicide. And the "statesmen" we elect to Congress these days care a hell of a lot more about re-election than they ever will about the future of the nation.

If the current trends continue: gas will be at $8/gallon, food prices will be up another 30% or more, and we’ll be at somewhere north of 12% unemployment (and probably closer to 21-22% total or U6 unemployment) with another stagnant RE market.

Combine that with being beaten in AFG, a precipitous stock market drop when the yuan becomes the new global currency, a 40-60% increase in health insurance premiums and a couple more Benghazigates (or worse, another attack here at home), and I think that should be sufficient to reach enough voters to beat Hitlery.

This is assuming we have another election, of course, and assuming that the idiots in the House don’t agree to amnesty... which will guarantee that no more republicans will win another seat anywhere, ever.

I agree. Sick of BO blaming on Bush. Who is he blaming “the mess he inherited” on this time? He needs to own it lock, stock and barrel.

Last time I checked, the House holds the pursestrings to the entire government.

Then how did we add at least $2 trillion in debt over the last two years that GOP has controlled the House?

Exactly correct, and why should people on food stamps worry about the price of food, why should people who are unemployed getting a government unemployment check worry about the cost of gas, why should people who get free health care and free transportation to the free health care worry about the cost of health care, why should people who are getting free housing worry about the cost of housing, why should people getting free cell phones worry about the cost of cell phones, etc, etc, etc, etc. They don't need to worry about it!

He's right. If we effect ONE little change the liberal's butt boys at the New York Times would pin the whole disaster on us. Dems cheated to win - let them own the mess. Our job is to change the corrupt voting system and do everything we can to bankrupt the MSM. Anything other than that is a waste of time. When those two things are done, we can talk.

Why help them? Our job for now is to protect the right to vote. Dem lowlifes have decided stealing the vote is cool. That’s what we need to stop. After dems have destroyed and bankrupted the country we can fix it if a free voting system is protected. That’s got to be our issue - our only issue.

There's no reason to help democrats destroy the country more slowly. We need to step back and allow them to bankrupt our home - we can't stop them. Why step in to take the blame? We need to reform the system of voting so the dem inner city criminals can't steal the vote.

The other advantage is dems can't pay off all the folks they lied to - and if they can't blame us - they're totally screwed. Come on, it'll be fun - better than going Galt ...

Keep the military strong and let the rest destroy itself.

For what reason should the military be kept strong? To fight for what, exactly?

Freedom? Obama supporters have chosen to give up freedom in exchange for "safety," from the government. All those receiving government benefits in some form, have indicated their willingness to comply with whatever government tells them.

Democracy? Democrats have suggested that the Republican Party is "obstructionist," and that we are uncompromising. They want the rule of a tyrant, not of and by the people.

Our Constitution? Those on the left have long detested this ancient document. The Bill of Rights are an antiquated concept from another era, when individial responsibility and moral character mattered.

The level of readiness from our military is not just about technology and hardware...it's about our people and our policies...policies directed by the Commander-In-Chief. There's always been an element of "politics" involved with advancement in the ranks. Eventually, the line between the military "blurs" with the civilian ranks, especially for senior commanders. Then, we start to see how weak or disiniterested leadership can have a profound affect on our military's ability to carry out the simplest of missions.

Dems choose NOT to steal enough votes to take the House... probably because most voter fraud happens in black precincts... If we're not careful next time they'll have the ability to cheat and take back the House.

Dems will bankrupt the country - devalue the dollar, ruin medical care ... in four years citizens will see the hand writing on the wall. We don't have the power to stop them, so why try? So we can take the blame? No, step back. Walk away. Get ready for the future.

Our job is to reform the voting system so the little totalitarian thugs can't cheat next time. And that's going to take a lot more than voter ID laws.

Dems vote the people who don't show up - they've been doing that since Chicago in the 60’s. They steal if they can and we're pretending they're nice people. They aren't. It's time for US to grow up about who they are..and how they operate.

RDE :’Our job is to reform the voting system so the little totalitarian thugs can't cheat next time. And that's going to take a lot more than voter ID laws.”

Seems like Republicans tried that with ID laws and limiting early voting and Dems just used that as a weapon against them, and got some courts to overturn them.

They beat the drums every day chanting:
Voter suppression. They dont want you to vote. they are trying to stop you. Its all because you are not rich white males like them. Our people fought and died for the right to vote in the 1960s and now they are trying to take it away. Show them you wont take it. Get EVERYONE you know to vote

That was Dems plan was to ‘get out the vote’. Get them all mad at an evil enemy they described even if their life sucks under O and the best they will get is food stamps.

So how do you 'reform the system' without giving Dems this tool?

There is no dishonor in standing up and fighting Obama for the next two years and getting voted out by an immoral electorate. If the GOP rolls over and gives Obama what he wants, there will be no reason to choose a Republican over a Democrat.

Accurately stated. The GOP MUST NOT roll over. The Republican controlled House is the only thing preventing total meltdown. The duely elected House MAJORITY must hold. If they have any guts, now is the time to use 'em.

RE :”He right. If we effect ONE little change the liberal’s butt boys at the New York Times would pin the whole disaster on us. “

Well if the idea is to let O have everything he wants then isnt Rs controlling the House counterproductive?

I mean it requires Rs voting for the crap O wants, which makes it less effective to use against Democrats later.

I know what you are getting at but it isnt as easy as it sounds.

Over a trillion was Idiotcare, then you have welfare extensions, Porkulus, etc.... and that’s not counting raising the dabt ceiling.

I’m not saying there aren’t RINO asshats that are selling out their country to keep their jobs, I’m saying that if the Republican’ts wanted to they could defund Obamacare.

No, they can abstain (or perhaps they can vote "Present" like O himself used to do all the time in IL).

Easy as pie.
