Saudi judges continue to resist King Abdullahs efforts to reform the Sunni kingdoms judicial system. In a letter sent to the countrys Minister of Justice, Mohammad al-Issa, conservative judges objected to foreign influence sweeping through Saudis sharia courts. The letter criticized foreign consultants with shaven faces, plans to let woman practice law, and the ministers meetings with infidels. Saudi Arabia holds no formal legal code or system of precedent and judges determine cases by their own interpretation of sharia law. A U.S. embassy cable released by Wikileaks in 2010 suggested the Saudi legal systems inability to hand down consistent decisions deters significant amounts of investment in the country. King Abdullahs efforts to modernize the oil-rich nation have been met with firm resistance from religious hardliners within the kingdom.

20 years from now, Saudi Arabia will be a memory.
The judges who decide which part gets amputated?
Ah but its very humane. If its the head the prisoner goes to hospital first and is sedated. If a hand the hospital removes the hand, closes the wound, and then the prisoner is taken to the square on Saudi Sunday (Saturday) after prayer and symbolically the hand is chopped off. A number of my AF troops went down to the square to witness the events in the 1980s when I was the Vice Commander of Elf-One (AWACS) in Riyadh.
Recent reports are that the US will outproduce Saudi Arabia in hydrocarbon fuels in the next few years, even with the reelection of Obama.
yep, if zer0 had stood out of the way, there would have been more jobs. America has been outsmarting zer0, thus far, thus increases in oil production, not that zer0 hasn’t tried to stop the increases. Did you hear his global warming speech today, gleeaikin? Lie after lie, after lie. Sounded like the scientist algore turn out to be, and neither zer0 or algore is a scientist.
