I think the St Lucie Cty offical recount will reflect what the Board Commissioner Tod Mowery reported yesterday afternoon. JMO.
....Mowery said the final St. Lucie count was 65,841 votes for Murphy and 52,704 for West. Murphy picked up 274 votes, according to Mowery, while West gained 32 votes. The results are unofficial.....
Can't swear to the veracity, but another poster said that the seven voter district shares location with another that has 1,000 registered, and that explains the apparent discrepancy.
I cleared this up this afternoon with a phone call. The reason a small number of people were split off from precinct 33 to make a new precinct 93 is due to redistricting of the Florida State Senate. Highway 95, which once cut through precinct 33 is now the boundary between districts 21 and 32. So the small number of people living east of the highway needed a different ballot.
Thanks Reb Raider. This is such a daunting mess, in part because there are so many public employees who know the obscure mechanisms in the voting process. Fraud can and does appear in different guises, simply because, without an audit trail, the mechanism doesn't matter. Cheating is very difficult to identify.
It has certainly been going on for many decades, but, as the exposure of Acorn, for whom Obama was a trainer, demonstrates, voting fraud has become a marketable skill. Insiders wouldn't dare expose their friends, and depend upon a socialist government for their livelihood.
I followed “truethevote.org” decades ago, but was more interested in the audit trail issue because it is part of what I did professionally. But now I see the value, necessity, in getting citizens involved. Conservatives may be, and probably do constitute a majority, but our electoral system is so corrupt that the representative political process is largely impotent. If citizens better understood, since our pundits are largely clueless, and make their livings by explaining anomalies based upon presumed legitimate voting patterns.
Post Offices have long been active in voting corruption, though having the SEIU count absentee ballots insures union control of as much as 30% or more of a state's votes. Some states are beginning to acknowledge that there are problems, deploying voting machines that print a paper ballot after the voter has used a touch screen. Those machines cannot insure verifiable voting because there is nothing to prevent the machine from printing more than one ballot.
Another common technique, one I first learned about from the book and movie by the Collier Brothers, who filmed the League of Woman Voters punching a second hole in cards ballots from neighborhoods whose votes they wanted to suppress. That invalidated those cards and those votes.
All the personnel techniques, busing illegal aliens into precincts which don't allow asking for identification, etc. etc. work as well. A citizenry finds it easier to observe those activities, though not if absentee ballots are used. Of course there are laws against fraud, but we know this administration doesn't care, and will not prosecute voter fraud. That is how the attained and held office.
