Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., may be resigning from Congress under a cloud, but the Illinois Democrat may still be in line to draw a congressional pension.
That is, unless the 47-year-old lawmaker later agrees to forfeit his retirement benefits through any plea negotiations that might come out of the federal investigation he acknowledged is ongoing.
On Wednesday afternoon, the best estimates through quick calculations by the Alexandria, Va.-based National Taxpayers Union determined Jackson could have an annual pension of about $45,000 if he waits until age 62 to draw it. If he waits only until age 56, the amount would be less.

I'm sure exemptions can be made for this special perp.
He will be found NOT guilty by reason of deasiese & or defect by the way of his depression & Bipolar condition.
He still needs to own up to what he did & face a trial of his “peers”, even though they’ll let him walk.
Where else can you break the law, resign as if nothing happened, and STILL keep the goodies that the average American will never see?
The son-of-a-bitch should be stripped of everything, thrown in prison for 25 years with no possibility of parole.
But, as usual, Congress always protects their own and we allow the bastards to get away with it.
Pathetic really.
He won re-election by his district while being in hiding.
Pretty neat trick...
Actually, he'll be found not guilty by reason of his color and his father.

“Actually, he’ll be found not guilty by reason of his color and his father.”
It is too bad Daddy was never charged under the RICO statutes for his shakedowns of corporations.
now he can go work with Daddy ,in the family owned shack down business
The question is how do we stop members of congress from receiving any pension at all. The idea that because they were members of congress, they DESERVE money for the rest of their lives is ridiculous. These people work for us. Look at members net worth when they are first elected into congress and what it is when they retire. These is so much corruption.
One of the problems is other members of congress will not prosecute other members of their elite club. Dems will often gather around their fellow dems and go after the accusers.
You’re doing a heck of a job Jesse.
WHAAAAAAT? Jesse Jr go to prison? Not a chance. Republicans are FAR too gutless to prosecute a black at all, never mind the son of Jesse “Fleecem” Jackson!
Jackson is only entitled to a pension if he meets the length of service requirements.
Check this link for requirements.
