Most American colleges are useless. An American college degree is as good as a European High School diploma.
Our education system is a disaster. If it were making cars instead of educated adults the vehicles would be fantastically expensive but only a minority of them could attain normal driving speeds. Many basic features would not be offerred while dubious and deleterious features would come standard. Many would be dangerous to operate. A sizeable fraction would spontaneously self-destruct. No one in their right mind would buy one.
Yet we keep sending our kids to known dysfunction-breeding factories, because it is "our civic duty." Or something.
I know a guy who does the hiring for his firm around the country and he told me that when he sees a 4 year degree in an American college he just rips the thing up as he said it;s useless today.
Either a 4 year degree in urope or a masters is what he looks for.
