What is more true is that the outcome can never be clear. Judges do whatever they want. Just look at how O J Slmpson got custody of his children away from their grandparents, even after a civil judgment found him guilty of killing their mother (after the criminal case did not). He still owes his parents-in-law and the parents of his wife's lover a huge amount assessed at the civil judgment, but has not paid and never will.
