Lost within the tsunami of campaign reporting was a study released by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) on October 3, 2012. The report, titled "Births: Preliminary Data for 2011," passed through the 24-hour news cycle with hardly a mention. The only reason I heard about it was due to a short blurb carried by a local outlet, which reported a significant drop in teenage births. This news item was, of course, reported as positive. But the full report and its tables of statistics reveals nothing positive whatsoever. According to the CDC numbers, 2011 was a banner year. It recorded the lowest birthrate in our national history.
In March of 2011 I penned a short essay for American Thinker, "Where Have All the Children Gone?" which considered the worldwide trend of falling birthrates. This essay will cover the recent declining birthrates inside the United States, as well as economic repercussion that fall entails. According to the report, the General Fertility Rate (GFR) for the U.S. in 2011 was 63 births per 1000 females (ages 15-44). This was a 1 percent drop from 2010. The decline among Hispanic American females was 6%; the decline among non-Hispanic blacks was 1%, and there was no change among non-Hispanic whites.
Nineteen states saw drops in live births, including both Blue states (California, Illinois, and New York) and Red states (Texas, North Carolina, Utah, and North Carolina). Among the different age cohorts, the number of births dropped 10% for females 15-19, 5% for females 20-24 (the lowest number of births ever recorded for that cohort). For females 25-29 the birthrate declined just a tad under 1 percent. The birthrate for females 30-34 remained unchanged, while the age group 35-39 saw a 3% increase in their birthrate. The birthrate for females 40-44 remained essentially unchanged.

The future belongs to whomever shows up. The Left is undoubtedly going to continue to bugger and abort itself to demographic oblivion, and with the clamor for free contraception for the Sandra Flukes of the world apparently now trumping every previous limitation on government, this trend will only accelerate.
The day is probably coming when the country will be 1/4 “quiver-full” evangelical, 1/4 Hispanic, 1/4 Mormon, and 1/4 orthodox Jew.
Until so called right wingers recognize the evil of contraception, taking steps to exclude it from their lives both personally and structurally, they can’t expect to be any part of that future.
European socialism correlates with a lowered birthrate, with the exception of the Muslim population.
Oh no! There are fewer teenagers being born? How will we cope?
The RINOs like Bush, McCain, Graham, Rubio, Rove - wanted unchecked illegal immigration, so you reap what you sow.
When the Republicans cave on amnesty, the 30 million illegals here now (forget that 11 million crap that’s been unchanged since 2002) will be allowed to also bring in 50 million siblings, parents, and children. All of them uneducated impoverished welfare candidates.
They will vote democrat for the next 30 years until they become 51% of the vote, then they will tell the democrats to buzz off while they vote in their new Partidad de la Raza people. Go look at Los Angeles for your future.
The last Republican will be gone by 2030.
Patent nonsense. There isn’t even 10 million that would willingly come, let alone 50.
My daughter has three kids. Her friends who are married all have at least three kids - as many as five. These are middle class two parent families with college educations and strong moral values. I think that is encouraging.
“Patent nonsense. There isnt even 10 million that would willingly come, let alone 50.”
Gross ignorance. Come out of your gated community.
Until guys have a fair legal shake they’re not going to marry/reproduce; the laws intended to destroy the family have succeeded. Make your peace with our Hispanic and Muslim newcomers; they’re breeding your children’s playmates.
We both live in states (CA & NJ) where that isn’t a drop in the bucket (congratulations, by the way). For everyone I know that is having children there are several that wouldn’t even consider it (all guys). They see too much legal and economic risk; I disagree with them (especially when the same people complain about the foreigners inported to replace the children they won’t have), but they have the right to do as they choose.
FREEPERS....GO YE FORTH AND MULTIPLY
Average Mexican family is now just 2.27 kiddos. There’s just not going to be Mexicans available.
I trust you don’t equate Hispanics and Muslims.
“I trust you dont equate Hispanics and Muslims.”
I’m not sure what you mean by “equate”; I know they are different, and I know they are inheriting the state of NJ.
What I mean is that you see them as equally objectionable. As if you didn’t know. You see baptized Christians, heirs of the western cultural legacy, as undesirable as pagan desert fanatics. That’s really stupid.

I’ll have to point that out to my objectionable Hispanic wife of 15+ years; if anything I prefer both Muslims and Hispanics to baby-killing, pervert-”marrying” “Westerners”. If you read my thread, I advocated making your peace with both groups.
