The harpie is right. He's an ordinary sociopath, probably borderline psychopath. Doesn't care about other humans, see's them as cattle to be used.

The whole gender studies gig with him is a con that allows him a veneer of hipness, which he uses to groom new victims.

And he says he's reformed from his bad old days of drugging and raping women for relief from boredom.
